Another fantastic weekend with friends in Barriere, BC over the weekend. Always a great time, with hanging out with good friends and some great judges that came up. My tri doe Shimmer is on fire 🔥 she took another Best in Show, a couple of Best of breeds and multiple best of variety. My boy Reef a few Best Opposites, still maturing young boy.

I wanna thank Diana Mortensen for bringing up my 2 boys and thanking Alexa Cook for picking them up and caring for them until I could find a ride for them home. It really meant the world to me and it shows me how strong our little rex family is and we really do have each others backs. Thankyou to Emma Colyn of S&SRabbitry for trusting me with these 2 handsome boys, I guess ill have to figure out names for them.

Omgosh, what a weekend at the saanich fair. Shimmer did it again, another Best in Show!!! I'm walking on clouds 😭😭😭. Then my boy Reef took Best Opposite in Show. Thankkyou to both judge Nancy and Mary Whitney for loving my doe 💖

Something about a Tri that is so sexy, especially when they got color and pattern like the 1st 2 here. These 3 are still young, maybe around 13 going 14wks??? Buck and 2 does from the same litter and i just love how all 3 is maturing. All out of both my girl Mercedes and my boy Augustus.

Some of my Jrs for my show string for the rest of the yr. They are between 12wks and 4mths. A few of them will be heading for there 1st show this weekend, others I'll be holding off to let mature. Others have been busy showing and already have legs. Also, a couple that will stay as brood only. I'm so happy with them on how they are maturing and so proud of what they accomplished so far.

Last litter for summer, I declined posting one of the bucks as he is going to camp for reasons that I may do an education video about it. The buck posted is available, but not the Doe for now.

One of 2 of my last litters for the summer, this was my struggle litter and I just don't feel comfortable with making any of them available. Especially one of the does which I excused from this post, she is in quarantine and being nursed back to health. If there is interest, I'd like to give this litter a few extra weeks to gain weight and see if there is any changes. But most likely, the majority will go to camp.

Such good info, Rabbits are so good at masking pain. I should find one for dogs too!!

Pain in rabbits is often an overlooked issue not because people don't care but because rabbits are so effective at masking pain as a prey animal. I came across this really great info graphic of signs of pain to watch out for!

If you can see overt signs of pain that are easily recognizable then the rabbit is likely critically injured or ill.

Wanted to share in hopes it helps someone recognize these signs in the future. Early intervention in rabbits can make a world of difference 🥰

Last litter of the night to post. Also a week late as well. But let me tell you, this litter struggled!!! If a litter had so much bad luck, it would be these ones. They are not nutrionally there yet as there coats are gonna take a while to come in, they need more weight where its needed. But, they must have been so aggressive with momma. Half her ni***es were chewed off, caused her to have mastitis, I lost kits because they were starving. I had to foster some over to Grace. 2 of the kits some how injured themselves and were limping. One a back leg and the other a front leg, so lucky they weren't breaks!!! I was just holding her down so they could nurse and then I'd bottle feed to top them up. My most frustrating litter this year. Thankfully my last for the summer till my bunny shed!!
