My Oceon and Harley litter turns 4wks today. Can I say ATTITUDE!!!! All of them, tons of fiery personality, all gave me issues for posing. Must be the nice weather we are finally having today. But Man, they made me work to get them to pose today 😑

My litter that I've been bottle feeding part time and holding mom down to feed 😅 turned 3wks old today. I lost Itty Bitty on the weekend, I think she had a collapsed lung from pneumonia and she wasn't growing because of it. I was going to do a syring live feeding, but I just haven't had the time. Anyways, I posted a photo of the ni***es I use, I will say this.

Always wash in between use, always inspect that they are in good condition before the next feeding. One of the kits are quite aggressive and chews right through the side of the ni**le, I have to replace every few days and she manages to puncture it right through. I had no idea and i wasnt paying attention, the 1st one I was using had a hole and they were constantly getting milk up there noses and into there lungs. 2 out of the 3 I have them on antibiotics cause there lungs are crackling from the rush of milk into there lungs and noses. It's cause of the punctured ni**le. If the one kit stopped chewing and playing with her food and actually drank half the time, she wouldn't be having a congested chest🙄.

Anyways, they are very active and adventurous, I cannot for the life of me keep them still long enough for posed photos. The 2 otters are girls and the brk otter is a buck. Hopefully they will settle down a bit in the next few weeks and I really can get a good look at them.

Man, the baby Does in this litter are 🔥🔥🔥 right now, hopefully they keep looking like this over the next coming weeks. Fur is already there too!!! Unfortunately, some of them did get the tips of there ears frost bitten over the cold snap we had. A few aren't terrible and hardly noticeable, while the one doe severely had the tip of her ear gone. I was gonna keep a buck out of this litter to replace the Sire as he is getting up there in age, but I think I'll just watch how the boys mature.

Soleil just an angry momma and doesn't want anything to do with them, but she just doesn't have enough milk to keep there bellies full. These 3 are doing well with formula mixed with goats milk to top them up after nursing. Itty Bitty has a little bit of a cold and I'm going to post pone a live feeding just for a few more days. They will be officially 2wks old tomorrow 🥰

Who wants me to do a live video of syringe feeding babies this week??? Im currently syringe feeding a little one and holding down momma for the rest to nurse cause apparently she just isn't giving them enough and started packing them down in the hay and decided to ignore them. So, far this little guy is doing well and because momma isn't producing enough milk for the rest, im topping them up in between holding her down for them to nurse.

Thankyou to the Tri Breeders group for doing an amazing thing for this beautiful variety of tracking points. My girls love there prizes and I'm absolutely blown away how gorgeous they are!!! Tri is one of my favorite varieties and it's definitely not for the faint of heart, lots of hard work, sweat and tears have gone into my stock to get them to where they are at. Finally have 2 litters born this past week after a ruff start to the new year!! After some heartbreaking losses in the beginningof the year, it's nice to finally have some litters. 1st litter 6 healthy kits born Feb 13th out of my girl Ocean and Harley. 2nd litter of 4 healthy babies born and I lost 2, out of My girl Soleil and Dash born between Valentines Day and early morning of the 15th. Hopefully something stunning out of either.

Harley hasn't been used in a while and this is actually a line breeding. Oceon did not want anything to do with all my other boys, she refused to lift except for Harley. Maybe this was the bunny gods telling me I needed to use him on her 🤣🤣🤣

My Rex jr show team for 2025, they aren't perfect and Im not sure if I made the best decisions on my picks between litters these past few mths. Especially between the one pair of sisters!!! But, I promised my good friend over at Great Bear Rabbitry she is getting her and I hope she kicks butt up in Alberta!!! To others who have also received rabbits and those who are waiting on transports, wish i could list all of you here, but good luck with them this year and happy showing!!!

In other news for this year, A few bucks are going over to Custer Skies Homestead to grow out and see how they turn out. Hoppin' Headbutters Farm is also enjoying a litter we co-bred together and I'll be getting something back to add to my show team as well!!! So excited. Over at my other friends at Mystic Meadows I allowed her to have my girl Whiskey bred to Dash for her 1st litter of Rex. I'll be getting something back to add to my show team as well.

From PennyRex I was given a cute little blue doe Presley, will get her on the show tables soon as well.

Potato's photo didn't make it on the list as he just wasn't cooperating today, but he is also part of my show team!!!

I hope 2025 is a good year and treats everyone well. I was hoping to have had a litter of Weimaraner puppies this past yr, so I could have a new show prospect for 2025. But unfortunately with our Cdn economy, food prices, security and uncertainties. I made the decision not to have a litter last year. Maybe, this year I can rethink having that litter. Thank goodness I raise meat rabbits, it definitely supplements the dog food bill!!!

My Tequila and Dash litter finally turned 8wks today!! I love the does, the bucks not so much. Maybe they will get better with age, which I have been noticing alot with Dash babies.

Both my litters turning 8wks tomorrow.

None of Summer and Sherlocks babies are going to be available. The does will be either be staying or going to a friend and 2 of the bucks are going to a friend to grow out as well.

Bijou's babies will stay for awhile till I make final decisions, I need more time with them. So, they will also not be NFS till further notice. Unless there has been previous arrangements and promises, they will not be made available unless it's to those certain individuals.

Last litter turning 6wks this week. Tequila and Dash. Again, I'm still only liking the girls in this litter. Hopefully the boys turn around and look better by 8wks. But I got my eyes on 2 of the girls 🤩

2 litters turning 6wks today, so another big post. Bijou and Axle and Summer and Sherlock!!

Unfortunately, Sherlock had to be humanely put down, i am super grateful to that boy and what he has done for my program. I am also super grateful to his breeder at Harbor Hollow for trusting me with him. So, I will be extremely picky on who I keep and may ask fellow breeders who are close by who are working on tri. I may gift a few of them so I have access to them if needed. It'll be with those, I have alot of trust with. So, I'm unsure if I will allow any of them to be available outside my close breeder circle.

I will always cherish an honour my boy and his legacy within my herd, run and hop high in heaven Sherlock!!!

I didn't get to take too many pictures yesterday cause apparently my brain is lala land!!!! Pic is of potato between older jr bucks and srs 😱😱😱 he's the one sniffing to the top of the cage, he's 11wks old here and look how big he is compared to the rest. Judges still knew be was a baby, his coat was not there yet. But the promising comments, I was happy with those. Anyways, I did ok, my sr does Chaos and Trinity placed well, 2nd and 3rds all through out the day. My sr buck Maui consistently placed 2nd all day. My otter sister/brother team Grace and Zucko got legs between them for bov/bos for all 3 shows, only zucko didn't place in one of the shows. The rest I had were jrs, all promising comments on how nice they were.

I didn't bring much this time as I wanted to go down and see everyone and get a break from home!!! 6wks of resting from surgery I had enough being cooped up. So, made the trip to Monroe, Wa. As always it was lovely to see everyone and it is my last show of the year. Till next year!!!!

My Tequila and Dash litter turned 4wks yesterday, didn't have time to take photos or post yesterday. Well, I'm just not liking the boys this week they are looking kinda yucky, maybe I'll like them better by 6wks. I love, love the girls!!! I have my favorites and I'll keep watching those ones.
