Quest attending a scent trial fun match fundraiser today and blew my expectations out of the water!

We haven't done much scent work for over 3 months and Quest had only had one practice session with containers at home. He's also only ever practiced scent work in my living room.

My goals were to just give Quest an environmental and trial experience with no expectations of him alerting to any of the containers. He ROCKED the environment and people all around while on deck waiting his turn.

First run, I asked at the start to know where it was as I wanted to ensure I reinforced him even if he didn't give a solid alert.....which he did not.

Second run I started blindly and when Quest got distracted by people setting up for Santa photos, I asked where the hide was so I could once again reinforce him at the correct container.

Bring on run number 3 and Quest turned his nose on! He hit and alerted on the correct container for runs 3, 4 and 5 earning himself 3 qualifying runs today! 🔥

Way to go baby dog! 🩵

We were also the lucky winners of one of the raffle prizes!
