Some good info on the social scale for dogs.

Did you know the majority of dogs aren't social butterflies? If you think about it, do we as humans go up to strangers and hug them, or just start to play around with them? No, we respect our personal space and other's personal space. If we did this behaviour that we expect our dogs to do, we would be considered rude and obnoxious. Most dogs need their personal space as well and will accept a small handful of friends they like to hang out with.

Some good tips on getting a puppy.

Puppies learn 24/7 from the time they are born. They learn valuable behaviour skills from their mother, including discipline between the ages of 4 and 10 weeks. The best imprinting time for their new family is between 10 weeks and 14 weeks of age when basic everyday schedules are implemented. Next, we have the prime time to learn basic obedience, such as walking on a leash, waiting at the door, a recall, and so much more. It's important to get these foundations in place so we can use what they already know to get through adolescence.

Good advice.

Yep, Flea and Lice season is in full swing. Ask your veterinarian about prevention medications, or have your dogs treated at the first sign. The good news, dog lice are species-specific, so they can't live off of people. The bad news is our mild winter is the perfect condition for them to spread and be an outbreak this year.
