Kingsley, the Preso Canario, joined us for an assessment. During the assessment, we discovered that Kingsley is very anxious, timid, and has low confidence. Our assessments are critical because we can gather information on the dog's behaviour in order to place them into one of our programs that is best suitable for them. We will work with the owners to come up with a schedule and game plan on how to tackle and modify there un-wanted behaviours. Get in contact with us today to book your dog for an assessment!

The Paws-N-Pals team is looking for an individual who enjoys being around dogs and has the experience recording footages and taking pictures of dogs being trained.

We're changing dogs and the owners life, you will be required to take footages that captures the journey that each dog embarks in for our training. Another task that would be require of you is to work closely with our head trainer and coordinator to create educational videos and promote our content on each of our social media platforms, this will help us grow Paws-N-Pals and take dog training to the next level. Payments would be hourly and the rate will be based upon your experience.

Please only reach out if you love dogs as we prefer someone looking for the type of work where theyd be happy to come and work at. We're a young company looking to grow our team... this could be a longtime & beneficial opportunity for you.

Rottweilers being part of the working group class of dogs, make wonderful companions for owners who know how to give them a job or a working purpose. Since they are large, and naturally protective, prospective owners need to know how to properly train and socialize a dog. Most breeds in the Working Group may not be for the first-time dog owner.
If you happen to get a working group dog such as huskies, doberman, rottweiler, great dane, and you're a first time dog owner... simply reach out to us for help as the right guidance will show you how to raise these beautiful dogs to be an amazing companion.

Ace the 5 month old Siberian Husky joined us for an assessment!
Why do people say Huskies are tough or impossible to train?
The reason for this is in the breed history – Huskies were bred to pull sleds in harnesses over long distances. The breed was not developed to work closely with their owner. Instead, they were bred for endurance and athletic ability.
Regardless no breed is impossible to train, you'll just need to take the appropriate steps in making sure they're succesful in their training and have a strong bond with you!

Practicing off leash recall and stay at a busy dog park!
This level of obedience is achievable by any dog of any age! It all comes down to how badly YOU want this for your dog.
We train to give our dogs more freedom, now the owner of this golden doodle can go on hiking trails with no leash & not worry if her dog will chase other animals which could put himself in danger. He's been conditioned to listen to his owner at all times and this is the relationship everyone needs to have with their dog.

Bulldogs in the Beginning;
"Like the pit bull, bulldogs were originally bred to help butchers control livestock, although bulldogs most likely predate pit bills, with a history that can possibly be traced back to the 5th century in England and a breed called the Alaunt. By the 15th century, in addition to catching horses, cattle, and boars (if dangerous) in legitimate farming use, bulldogs were also used in the barbaric “sport” called bull-baiting, in which trained dogs would latch onto a tethered bull’s nose and not let go until the dog had pulled the bull to the ground or the bull had killed the dog. Over the course of 350 years, until bull-baiting was banned in 1835, bulldogs were bred for aggression, and an 80-pound dog could easily bring down a bull weighing close to a ton by corkscrewing its own body around its neck, tossing the bull over its own center of gravity."

Not all dogs need to be friends, but they do need to learn to coexist peacefully. Socialize your puppy or young dog through a structured method such as taking your dog on a walk with another trained dog and their owner. The goal you're trying to reach is your dog ignores the other dog and only pays attention to you and your given commands!
Many dog owners have the idea that meeting every dog you pass during a walk is an essential part of dog socialization. It is NOT. It actually does more harm than good and is a big reason why those dog owners can't take their dog for a peaceful walk in a heel position. You've regulated your dog into wanting to meet other dogs on a walk and having a little chaotic playful session while on leash.
It does not benefit you, your dog or anyone else as a matter of fact but why do we do it?
We forget dogs are not humans and they not only don't want to meet random dogs they dont know, in dog language meeting face to face is rude and threatning. They approach side to side, and circle around eachother while sniffing eachothers rear ends.
This is not possible on a leash because the leash can tangle up, causing tension which can ultimately lead to a fight. Meeting on leash also reinforces poor behavior such as leash pulling to meet other dogs. Lastly, it undermines your training because you're reinforcing them to look forward to meeting stranger dogs on a walk, instead of them focusing on the dog handler.
Next time someone asks you if their dog can meet yours on leash, just say "no, my dogs in training."
It is not rude!
It's actually selfish of them because they just want to see 2 cute dogs play together because it certainly doesnt benefit the dogs. It does not benefit responsible dog owners either who have put effort and time into training their dog.
