Birthday sale!!! Donāt miss out!
I say this constantly and will keep saying it! Ditch your six foot leash and come on over to the long leash club. You can get pretty biothane leashes in 10, 15, 20, 30, 50 feet!
I walk my dog in a busy area on a long line for all his walks. Clients who are struggling with their loose leash walking often find relief in switching to a long lead. These are not just for training. Long leashes make life easier and they allow your dog to have a better quality of life. Freedom to be able to express normal behaviour promotes good emotional welfare. And thatās what we want right? Our dogs to be happy and fulfilled.
Long lines can be high maintenace at first but once you get the hang out itās a breeze. Let me know if I can help you make the transition to the long line club. We are getting T-shirts š!

What is a decompression walk? Itās a walk in a peaceful area with few people or animals. Ideally you see no one! It should be a place your dog can be off leash safely or on a long line. They should be able to sniff to their hearts content and be able to move freely. You shouldnāt be asking anything of them.
Pal is going through some major hormones lately. So we upped the decompression walks. One thing that makes him really happy is a good roll in some sand. He also loves to dig which I allow (I always fill in the hole after). I allow him to pick all the directions we go unless they are unsafe. He can sniff as long as he wants and I rarely ask him to come along. Freedom doesnāt need to be earned, it should be given as much as possible.
This promotes relaxation and good emotional welfare. Itās important for all dogs. So grab some treats, a long line and pick a quiet spot for you and your pooch. You will see the benefits, I promise you.
Training should be fear free, humane and kind. No need to intimidate or scare your pets to get them to listen. Contact me today to get started on a training journey.
