Well Niagara, it's been a whole year since I said "until next time"......
In 11 days, the "NEXT TIME" will be upon us! While I would absolutely love to visit every single one of you, I'll only be back for a week. And I need to spend some much needed time with my kids and my family. But that doesn't mean we can't see each other!!!
A lot of you have been following my ventures here in Nova Scotia and are aware of The Salty Dawg Barkery and the amazing dog treats I've created. I'm way too excited to share all of these with my Ontario friends as well. I'm taking orders with prepayment for treats and will be announcing a day (or two) and times to pick up and maybe get a hug!

See you all soooooon!!!!
Let me start by saying THANK YOU!!! Nova Scotia has been so wonderful to me since I started back to work! All of the wonderful dog owners and their lovely dogs have been such a pleasure to teach and work with. I look forward to each and every lesson.
With this being said, I do need to address the rise in Covid numbers.
Because I am a mobile service and I work so closely with my clients mostly in their homes, I need to take precautions and be diligent in helping to not spread this virus.
I ask that if you or any other member (and visitors to your home) have visited or are visiting any of the affected areas in HRM, please reach out to me as we will need to reschedule lessons for at least 2 weeks out.
I also ask that if you or any member of your household as well as visitors to your home have displayed any Covid 19 symptoms or have had a positive Covid test, I am contacted so I can self isolate myself, contact clients I have visited and or reschedule our lesson.
All client information is completely confidential.
I will do my best to continue providing services as safely as possible.
Whatever your personal stance is on the subject, my first priority to every home I enter is the health and safety of that family.
Please feel free to send me a message or contact me directly via text or call at 902-664-1740 if you have any questions or concerns. Also if you need help with your dog!
The biggest CONGRATULATIONS to Anita! This lady KILLED it all year walking those dogs AND training too!!! She deserves this award more than anyone I know. I couldn't be more thankful for all of her help and hard work over the last two years. I absolutely love watching her succeed in what she loves! ❤️❤️
Congratulations to Best Friends and Rainas Grooming, Niagara Pet Resort and to Jessye from The Perfect Pack.
It's always a so wonderful to see such great women within the community succeeding!!!!
Thank you everyone for trusting me over the last 5 years with your pets. I have loved each of them as if they were my own. I'm grateful for all of your support throughout the years of ups and downs and puppies and everything inbetween! I'm truly blessed with the most fantastic humans ever.
Now, please wash your hands, wear your mask, stay 6 feet apart so I can come home to visit and hug all of you!!!!!!!
Going through photos today to make business posts made me miss all of my Ontario friends. Terribly. And their humans too!!!! I'd love some updates and photos!!!!!! Spam me please!!!!
It's not just the food I feed my dogs that is important. It's also how they are fed.
Having lost my first Boxer, Oliver to gastric torsion years ago, I became obsessed with finding better ways to feed my dogs. We're not sure how Olivers stomach twisted but I have been annoyingly diligent that it never happens again.
With the 2 Fur Hoover's I call German Shepherds, I feed them from these slow feeding bowls. It helps slow them down and gives the poor Boxer a chance to finish his meals in peace. It slows Ripley down so much, half way through her meals she needs to lay down to eat. 🤷🏻♀️
Then we have the old man. When I brought him home, I was still pretty traumatized over Oliver. So I literally started hand feeding him. Slowly. I would have him lay down sometimes to make it even slower. He's never been one to gobble his meals since. But then there is that whole "elevated vs not elevated food & water bowl" thing. I've tried them all. In the last couple of years, he's started struggling with traditional food bowls. From them sliding all over the floor to food just spilling out everywhere....he ends up walking away from his meals most days.
This company started to follow my page so of course, I check them out. They have a PLETHORA of products that I always like to check out. So I clicked the "catalog". This bowl stood out. It caters to the flat faced senior pooches we love! So I ordered one.
I received Otis' new Fluff Trough today. It came with a nice little gift of another product - which all 3 dogs LOVED! Otis had his dinner in his new bowl. Aside from being excited over foods, he's never been excited over a new bowl. Tonight, he was. I may have to order the "slow bowl" insert! This Fluff Trough is small enough to not trip over my tiny home, silicone and dishwasher safe and NO mess. It's a win win here!
Thank you for this!!! I wish I had known about you sooner!!!!!
Let's get spooky! 👻🖤👻🖤👻
Earlier this week I had a milestone in my own dogs training.
We live on a pretty decent size property where my dogs get to roam and romp pretty freely. Thankfully, we live on a private road with very little traffic and friendly neighbours. Because of this, I started using my ecollars more before we made the move here knowing we didn't have a fence. The thought of porcupines (especially porcupines), deer, bear, coyotes & neighbours chickens wandering into my yard spikes my anxiety for these city dogs.
We had some deer come up onto our property. I let the dogs out without doing a perimeter check. Silly me. All three dogs bolted towards the woods. I called the dogs immediately and all three halted, came right back to me without having to use the ecollars.
I couldn't be more proud of my dogs and the work I've put into them at that moment.
Am I magic? Nope. Not at all. I've worked my butt off everyday. I have given my dogs clear, consistent commands. And I'm never without pocket beef. 😉
It's no secret. Most dogs love food. Use it to motivate. Appropriately.
Have we mentioned how much we love our new home?
Handsome Harry was just part of becoming good pals today! I didn't have to work with him but I sure did enjoy his company. ❤️
This stud was my next little learner. Zeppelin loves other dogs. A little too much. His excitement needs to be dialed down a little and needs more focus on his humans. He rocked it today. ❤️
Good to be back to work! First official client of Nova Scotia!
Zora is such a sweet girl. She just needs to be tuned in a little bit and learn some focus. She's a smart cookie with a big love of beef 🍖 ....and snuggles. ❤️
We're thankful for beautiful sunny days and hiking in our own yard.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of our family and friends! 🦃🇨🇦
Hilde had great adventures with new friends today. She had her first ever boat ride (not including the ferry to PEI 2 yrs ago) and she LOVED it!! She's acclimating to Nova Scotia like she's been here her life. ❤️⚓
They Live....and Obey..........in Wallace, NS. 🤣
Adventure day #1 done. ❤️
When you live in the most beautiful land ever.....
Quarantine is almost finished......these guys have no idea what awaits once we can leave our yard. Until then, I'd say they were quite content.
As much as I'm loving my new life here in Nova Scotia, I'm really missing my friends back in Ontario. I brought all of them with me and proudly displaying all of them on my dog room walls!
So grateful for Amazon......more string lights and clips on the way to hold the rest of my little Polaroids!!!
Decided to let Flea adventure with her dogs today. She was not very agreeable at first to wearing her harness but got over it quickly enough when she realized she got to run with her pack. This is the only way I will ever feel comfortable with her venturing outside!

Welcome to Flea, Nova Scotia. 😼
MMMMMMAAAAAAHHHHMMMMMM. STAAAAHHHHPPPPPP.....
Hey Nova Scotia friends!!
Due to a back injury that occured RIGHT BEFORE my move here, I need to postpone my start date for working.
I'm not sure when I will be starting up but I will keep everyone updated. My quarantine is up on September 28 and have an appointment booked with a chiropractor shortly after that. I will be concentrating on getting my back better so I can get to work!
On a side note, I will also be offering pet photography services once I'm better! Rates will be posted in the very near future for all of my services so please keep coming back here!!
Thank you everyone for all of the warm, welcoming messages. I cannot wait to meet everyone and get to work!!
Day 5 of our 14 day quarantine.....my dogs are becoming even more perfect at modelling.....😉
I'm sitting here on my second day of my Nova Scotia life realizing I haven't updated the business page! So here are a few photos!
We reached home at about 12:30am Tuesday morning. Let the pups have a leashed sniff and potty before we all hit the pillows!
When we got up yesterday morning, we had some play and train time before I got to unpacking.
The dogs and cat have been adjusting so unbelievably well. They love their new life. And so do I!!!
Hey there friends!!
I've decided to keep this page alive and well for the benefit of my clients. I encourage you all to maybe post or reach out to fellow pet parents here to arrange some playdates.
All of your dogs made some amazing friends and I hate to see that end!
Whether it be a walk in the park or a booked play time at the indoor dog park located in the Linwell Plaza. It is now called The Bark Park and they have some great rates for booked play time!
I expect photos!!!!!
Well friends, my time is quickly coming to an end. I'm doing my absolute best to balance work and organizing myself for my big move. I'm not actually very successful at this! Ha!
I'd love to see all of my friends before I leave but I have very limited space here. So, if you're interested in getting your pups in for one more fun day of daycare, please message me ASAP so we can fit the pups in on an appropriate day!
It's pretty difficult to get stressed or sad about much over here. When your life is filled with this beauty and love......this is when I truly begin to already miss these amazing dogs.
Maxing out my time with all of the.
Come and knock on our door
We've been waiting for you
Where the kisses are hers and hers and his
Three's company, too
Come and dance on our floor
Take a step that is new
We've a loveable space that needs your face
Three's company, too
You'll see that life is a ball…
An impromptu board and train! And my final Ontario project!
Miss Jude is a 4 month old American Bully who needs a little bit of foundation work. And I'm way too happy to provide this!
