The breakdown on Sameera's newest litter is 5 males and 6 females, with 4 males and 4 females not spoken for yet! Hmmmm, got you thinking? Christmas would be rockin' with a new kitten trashing your tree, don't you think? ;)

Here you go, Rachel Miadovnik! There are three Pointed (colours not yet known) kittens and eight that will be either Natural Tabby Minks or Champagne Tabby Minks. There is at least one Tibetan (aka Long Hair Tonkinese) in the litter that, if female, is sold. More info will be posted as they develop. I'll check their sexes this evening and post that update when I have it. Enjoy the pics!

DID YOU KNOW...? Siamese cats carry a gene called the Himalayan gene. It is a mutation that causes partial albinism. (A Seal Point Siamese is actually genetically an all black cat with partial albinism). This gene is heat sensitive, meaning that the cooler the environment, the darker the coat colour. This explains why a Siamese has dark extremities (face, tail & legs). The body, being the warmest part of the cat, remains lighter in colour. You will notice your Siamese, Balinese (long hair Siamese) or Tonkinese (half Siamese, half Burmese) get darker in cooler temperatures such as in an air conditioned home, and lighter as the weather or temperature gets warmer. Siamese cats are white at birth. This is due to being in the constant warmth of the mothers womb, where there are no "cool spots". Isn't that cool?
