The Picknell family is sad to share the news that Bruno, long-time student and cherished member of our trainer Brenda's family, has passed away at the age of 7 of cancer. Bruno has been a part of Brian Picknell Dog Training since the beginning, when he was trained at one of our earliest private lessons and became our first demo dog for group classes.

A fixture of our pack walks and best friend to Ivy, Bruno will be dearly missed.

Yesterday we were lucky to join our pup pal Leksi and her owner, Irina Fortey Photography for a photoshoot in her studio! Willow, Ivy, Brian, and Emily were lucky to get pictures from such a talented photographer, and we're all excited to see how they turn out!

MEET YOUR NEW TRAINER.

For over 25 years, Brian has been a leader in the field of dog training. In both group settings and private sessions, Brian has guided puppy parents through the many challenges of dog ownership.

As Past President and Instructor with the Bytown Dog Obedience Club, Brian has taught hundreds of classes at the Beginner, Pre-Novice, Novice and Utility/Open levels, including obedience, herding and tracking. He has successfully corrected aggressive behaviour towards humans and other animals. He is a member of the Canadian Kennel Club.

Brian's dogs have won 5 Canadian and American Champion Titles in Companion Dog (CD), Companion Dog Excellent (CDX), Tracking Dog (TD), Tracking Dog Excellent (TDX), and Herding categories.
