Missy was so excited to get in the car to go to her meet and greet at her potential new home yesterday; and it was a great success! 🙏🏻🎄
We kept it short as she was a little bit overwhelmed, and once we got back in the car for the drive home, she was zonked right out. 🥰
I have often wondered over the last eight months of her stay here Angel Lane Boarding; if, while watching her friends depart, one of the many vehicles pulling in daily, would ever be for her? 🥲
We are going to make that come true on Monday as her new mama is going to come to pick her up and give her her own turn at getting to depart for her very own home🥰

These guys don’t mind the cold! However, cold temperatures means turning off the heat in the building and opening the door for 15 to 20 minutes, so they can burn off some energy then it’s back in, door closed, and heat back on to play inside until the next round. My new name is “automatic door opener”😂

Angels with fur

Many years ago I rescued a badly burned kitten for the SPCA; the story went public and a contest held to name her. She became Angel, and also, a part of my family for two sweet years of life before losing her battle with feline leukemia. I decided then, that if I ever realised my dream of opening a boarding kennel it would be named Angel Lane.

Fast forward to 2017 and with the tragic loss of my beloved Moe Dog I decided I needed to do something to create a legacy in his name. At the time Canadians were reeling from the shock of the Humboldt Broncos tragedy and as I watched Red Cross Compassion dogs walk the packed funeral services an idea was born to create “Moe’s Angels”: A foundation that will support compassion dogs trained to work with trauma victims, particularly women and children of domestic violence.

Now, here we are. Angel Lane has come to life; compassionate care and boarding for family pets on 20 acres of heaven on earth. How the rest comes to life I don't know yet, but I have faith it will all come together in one amazing compassionate movement!
