I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone whom I have encountered in my life, and to those friends who are helping me at a difficult time. I have had a wonderful 65 years. I hope I have learned something from everyone I have encountered. Each of you have made me who I am.
I was skeptical to let my family and friends do fundraising on my behalf, but I must think of my daughters when things get a little rough. I have to learn to get help when I need it. Another lesson learned, and not the last.
Through the years I have tried to help people and hope to some degree I have been successful. It has been a fulfilled and exciting life and I do not regret anything that has happened thus far.
I am not scared about the future. I still have things to learn. Life is a gift and one I appreciate, and I will continue to keep doing things and be active until this is no longer possible.
For me, every day has been filled with love and I am so appreciative of this. Thank you all I have encountered along the way, whether it was positive or painful, it’s all a part of the experience.
My love to you all, and thank you.
Jane Casselman.

Dearest friends. It is with great sadness that I announce that at 1 o’clock this afternoon we lost Jacqueline Anne Casselman after a long and fierce fight with cancer. The amount of love and support she received during her battle from friends and family was momentous and surely contributed to her perseverance and strength. We thank everyone who was there for her during her final days. Jackie’s impassioned love of horses is what many of you knew her for. Her love of animals showed the quality of her character as her heart was always open to any creature in need. We, her family, are comforted by the knowledge that she is resting now with her father, Clint, her mother, Kathleen, and her beloved horse, Scout. Jackie’s sisters, Jane, Jenny and Joanne, are hosting a celebration of life on the 24th of June from 1 pm to 4 pm at 258 Beech Grove Sideroad in Alton. All are welcome to come and honour her life and legacy. If you are unable to attend but would like to pay tribute to Jackie in some way, please consider making a donation in Jackie’s name to the Bethell House Hospice in Inglewood where Jackie was taken care of in her last moments by the wonderful staff. Thank you all for supporting Jackie during her time of need. Every thought, prayer and kind word has been felt in our hearts. Please feel free to share.
