There are spots available for my classes. Lev 1 and 2 are now being combined starting at 7 pm at Ron Kolbus Lakeside centre this Wednesday.

Just think, with some basic obedience you can accomplish this!

City of Ottawa registration for land activities opens on-line tonight at 9 pm.

Dog obedience level 1 is at 7 pm is #61520 and level 2 is at 8:15 pm is #61531. These are held at Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre. We have a large indoor room and for level 2 we try to work outside with distractions until sunset.

Go to register.Ottawa.ca to sign up. 8 lessons is $98.79 for adult residents.

Come join the City of Ottawa dog obedience classes at Ron Kolbus Lakeside Gardens (Britannia beach) - level 1 at 7-8 pm and level 2 8:15-9:15 on Wednesdays - July 19 to August 30. We enjoy a secured large indoor space for basic training and off leash work. We have the opportunity to use large green spaces, walkways, all allowing for a wide variety of distractive training on leash. Cost is $86.44 for residents, $108.05 for non-residents. Seniors get a 10% discount.

With covid and no obedience classes to teach with the city, I’ve been doing more agility with Ruffles. Went to a trial near Iroquois and don’t I meet a Sheltie owner, that just so happens to live down the street and bought her dog from a breeder I know from Winnipeg. It’s a small world after all!!

PSA - Birch Sugar = Xylitol. They’ve renamed / rebranded it but it is still deadly to our pets.
Very common in ‘sugar free’ products.

Today as a lockdown pt city park ambassador I was out ‘training’ and ‘walking’ the two ‘dogs’ richcraft rec that always has, winter or summer, at their front entrance. They don’t bark, jump, beg, always holding their pose!

Wednesday took a drive to Ron kolbus lakeside gardens where I’ve taught dog obedience for over 27 yrs. Was surreal thinking had it not been for a year of this pawdemic we would have had a great evening to have worked distraction training outside.

Howl ‘o’ een at Wednesday’s dog class. Fun evening with the dogs all aok with their get ups. And my point? Yes it’s fun, however there may be a medical/physical reason your dog has to wear booties, a shirt, have a split, a leg cast ... these costumes allow us to ‘train’ our dogs prior to an unwelcome event.

I’m now training prides of lions 😂 !
