My dogs and their Green Dog Real Foods dinner! Green Dog does not contain 'supplements' as not all dogs need the same nutrients on a daily basis and the idea is to achieve balance, over time. Having said this, as a holistic nutritionist, I am a big believer in quality supplementation and that is easily achieved with Omega Alpha, Probiotic 8 Plus and Nutrify. These supplements are derived from 'whole foods & nutrients' and contain no synthetics. Use as needed. Some days I add whole food 'extras' to my dog's meals and may skip a day or two of supplementation, but overall, they do benefit greatly from these products. Of course, raw diet in itself is providing an incredible abundance of healthful nutrients! These are the kind of conversations I am happy to have with my customers.

I often get asked, 'can I feed some raw diet and still feed kibble?'. The answer is, yes! Of course you can! I believe that some unprocessed and uncomplicated nutrition, is better than none! Just like us, variety is encouraged and we eat all kinds of foods during a day. Some raw, some heavily processed. Our bodies can handle this and so can dogs! Is it ideal? In my opinion, a completely raw or home prepared diet is preferable, but you can still provide a very satisfying and nutritious option for dogs, by adding some raw diet to the mix!

If you're sitting on the fence about trying raw diet, let me know! I've been feeding and selling raw pet food for 25 years! I have lots of helpful information to share and I believe greatly in the products I have chosen to sell.

I would like to clarify my delivery process. Green Dog is ordered by me on Mondays, therefore I need your orders in by Monday morning, at the latest. The food arrives to me on Fridays, but generally quite late in the day. I have no control over this, unfortunately. To avoid disappointments, orders can be picked up or delivered on the weekend or throughout the week once I have your order in stock.

Hello, For the Love of Daisy peeps!!

I sure have missed you all! It was a tough decision to close the store. We had everything going against us and despite my greatest efforts, I could not compete with the large pet chains, emerging on every important corner.

I hope everyone has stayed safe and well during this crazy and difficult time. I guess you could say, that I got lucky, that I no longer have the store to worry about, during Covid-19. I hope that some of you will be interested in my next incarnation; Daisy's Real Pet Foods!

I am offering to you a very personalized service as a 'hub' for Green Dog Real Foods, Nova Scotia's own...frozen raw pet food and treats. This is a continuation of the food that we sold at the shop. I am honored to be your resource for this awesome pet food, in the St Margaret's Bay area. Orders go in on Mondays for Friday delivery to me. As this can be later in the day, I would say safely, to get your orders on Saturdays or whenever you prefer. I must have your orders in by Sunday night. We are working on a price list and menu and will post as soon as possible.

I am also making available to you, the entire line (human, pet & equine) of Omega Alpha products. As a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, I am looking forward to sharing my expertise in this area. I will also have a wide range of treats from both Green Dog and Crazy Dog Dehydrated Treats, including their raw frozen bones! Rounding off the current offerings with all natural and safe insect repellents, from Gifted Earth.

All pickups and consultations will be by appointment in Boutiliers Point and delivery for a small fee, in the bay area, is available.

I am just starting up and will get this all organized, as we go! I will have a dedicated building on my property, by the end of the summer, but the freezer is ready and I am ready to get you what you need!

It's hard to start this post. My closing out sale has been a great success...thank you to everyone that stopped in to purchase a few last items. I have been so fortunate to see so many of you and as always, your support and love for my little shop, helps me walk away from this 9 year adventure with nothing but gratitude for allowing me to do what I love to do; provide you with quality pet products, talk dogs & kitties and make more lasting friendships than I ever could have imagined! We've been through so much together. I will miss you all and hope we can in some way, keep in touch.

My official last day, will be tomorrow, Saturday, February 22nd. I will be open for business, 10-5. The stock is very thinned out, but there are still some great buys! If you can't get in today or tomorrow and would like one last look around, let me know as I will be in sporadically next week, to deal with the move out.

With great sadness and loads of gratitude for those of you who have loved and supported my little shop, it is time to say goodbye. :(

All accessories are discounted by 50%...in some cases, this is below cost and there are some very good deals to be had.

There is very little food left, but what remains is discounted by 20%. We have notified a couple of other pet stores and they are willing and able to honour your frequent buyer cards. You are welcome to pick them up.

My store fixtures and furniture are also for sale.

No firm date has been set to lock the door, but I feel we will be looking at the end of this month, at the latest. I will update.

Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish it was better news.
