Why choose to do 2 paws up? So many great reasons but this pup was doing it to gain confidence and enhance focus and engagement. He was really struggling on walks and freezing or pulling away when distractions were present. It was a real struggle to walk him. He has come such a long way from playing these types of training games. No more pulling and now his attention is back on his owner if things are worrying. So great to see him grow in confidence.

🔥 Too Hot to Trot?

How hot is too hot for your dog to be outside?

Here’s a quick guide:
☀️ Under 24°C / 75°F – Walks are safe for most dogs.
☀️ 25–29°C / 77–84°F – Caution! Keep walks short and stick to early morning or late evening.
☀️ 30°C+ / 86°F+ – Too hot! Risk of heatstroke. Stick to potty breaks and indoor play.

🐾 Bonus tip: Pavement can burn paws even if the air feels okay. Use the 7-second hand test — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their feet!

✅ On hot days, try:
– Training games indoors
– Frozen treat toys
– Lick mats in the shade
– Calm confidence-building activities

🌿 This lovely pug would love to hang out sniffing around the yard all day… but we’re playing recall games to shift her value from the environment ➡️ back to her human. 🐾

At just 9 weeks old, it’s the perfect time to start building good habits early! We’ll be focusing on:
