Have you been curious about learning to play Rally or Nosework with your dog? We have 2 intro nights coming up that will teach you the aspects of each sport and see if your dog likes it. Plus, after you've completed the intro you'll be prepared to sign up for classes right away! Both sports are taught by Randi who is a CKC Nosework judge and SK Rep. She competes and titles in CKC Nosework, SDDA Nosework and CARO Rally, and CKC rally so is very experienced across the board. 🐩🐾

What a way to end the year! 🎉Our last barn hunt trial for 2025 is now complete and there were so many highlights. The brag board didn't capture all the wins, nor did I find everyone's photos, so please feel free to post yours in the comments below. Whether you Q'd or not, it was time well spent with your dog and some of the loveliest people I've met in the dog community by far. 🥰

THANK YOU:
- our incredible Judge Cynthia Sandison for being so kind and supportive and braving this frigid weather.
- all our volunteers for jumping in and helping to keep this trial moving efficiently. Especially those who weren't even running dogs: Shannon, Barb and Wendy!
- all those who participated in the gift exchange, ugly sweater and snowflake contests. You added extra fun to the trial and we hope you enjoy your prizes!
- our participants who continue to play this dusty sport with us and who have as much as fun as their dogs do in the ring. You are why we continually strive to improve!
- all our prize donors: Rae, Jeannette, Kathy T, Dawn, Shannon, Makayla, and Phyllis (who also decorated the heck out of the place and made us a buffet of delicious treats!)
- Joanne for all her and her kids help with the straw removal, organizing lunch, the swag bags and Punch Tree. You are treasured beyond words!
- And last but certainly not least, our amazing trial Secretary Ramona and the Westman Rat Wranglers for bringing these trials to us each year. The amount of paperwork alone would make most quit, but she shows up each trial with a smile, incredible prizes, and the desire to help in any way she can. You are unlike the rest my friend and we appreciate you beyond words!

Registration for the first 2026 trials opens January 5 so get your entries ready! We also have some intro nights coming up to see if your dog might also like this game. Stay tuned for more info on those and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2026! 🐀🎄🎅

We are so blessed and grateful to have such a supportive barn hunt community. We want to thank Rae, Jeannette, Kathy T, Phylliss, Dawn, and Makayla for donating to our NQ and Judge's Choice prizes. You generosity and kindness are so appreciated! 🎅🎄 And thanks to Shannon at the The Painted Parasol for carrying such a wide selection of Sask and Canada made products so we could support locally in 2 ways for the Volunteer and Course builder prizes. Thanks to everyone who participated in the Ugly Sweater Contest! Our human winner was Moira with her lovely handmade creation, and Jersey won best dog. All the fabulous entries made it really hard for our judges Rebecca and Kaitlyn to decide. 🎄❄️

If you're needing to register a dog with BHA - now is the time!💲

It's Registration Sale Time, and we're live! Use your discount code of 2025HOLIDAY until midnight CST Saturday December 13 for $26US registrations. If you don't put in the code, you don't get a discount and no, I will not refund you. Registrations are not refundable, see our policy.

Registrations increase to $34 per dog on January 1. If you are registering a puppy and are unsure of their adult height, put in their current height or a close guesstimate, but if you do that you MUST go back later and make sure that height is correct. If you are not sure you are going to keep the name that's okay too, just note that I get an email alert for every name change and may question you. Transferring numbers to a different dog is not allowed (you can't think, "Oh, I'll register Rin now then if he decides he doesn't like it I'll just transfer to Stimpy." Doesn't work that way. :)
