Meet Vasco❤️. A beautiful male Shepherd cross who just turned 6 mth old on May 24th.
Vasco is full of life & curiosity in search of a stable committed Forever Home.

Vasco is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, crate trained, healthy & ready for formal training. He plays well with other dogs, loves the outdoors running & chasing a ball…he is a typical young pup most suitable for an active lifestyle with experienced humans.

We would love to help Vasco settle into new beginnings. He is currently being fostered & will come with a full training package to ensure the best start with his new pack.

You lose them when you close your eyes at night.

An unused coffee cup.
An empty chair.
A pair of boots no longer there.

The scent of their cologne.

You lose them as you pick up the broken pieces.

The sun has set on an Amazing Life…

On Tuesday July 18th, we suffered the tremendous loss of Larry Neilson who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.

“The idea is not to live forever but to create something that will”…Larry’s legacy shall live on in the hearts of so many.

A Celebration of a Life well-lived & shared will be held to reflect and honour the memory of the kind, gentle and inspirational soul Larry was.

Kavic travelled with his human from Grande Prairie last week for a second condensed couple of training sessions. He was welcomed to his new home a couple of months ago & his human wants to be the best she can for Kavic & give him the life he deserves. This Gerbarian Shepsky has the dominant Husky traits that were in much need of proper management.
We saw an awesome display of calm & not reactivity, quiet instead of the screaming vocalization & much more attentiveness … & the dog was much better too😂🤣…just kidding! I’m looking forward to see them back again in a month to see further progress & lay out some final challenges to work on.

“Swissy” Kenny is nothing less than Amazing to work with. The working Greater Swiss indeed needs a job to keep them on track. Country living on a large acreage with cows coming in the pasture, free range chickens roaming around & 3 busy young children…Kenny also free ranges with boundaries of course. Just turning 9 mths Kenny walks the kids to the bus, patrols the yard & chickens, his obedience on & off leash is pretty stellar. Kenny’s humans did their homework on choosing the right dog for the job & have put in the time & effort to groom Kenny into this solid foundation to be able to have this great partnership that will continue to grow. So proud of them all 👏🏻🐾👏🏻

UPDATE: ROCKY HAS FOUND HIS NEW FOREVER HOME.
Thank you all for helping to share Rocky’s story & successfully placing him. The current owners are very grateful to all that reached out & expressed interest.🙏🏻🐾🙏🏻

This is Rocky, 14 mth gentle Golden looking for a new stable *experienced home.
Rocky is in tact, up to date on his vaccinations but has not had any formal training. He does get on with other dogs, does not nor has ever been to a dog park, he does walk descent on a leash but of course needs some work. He is not crate trained but does do well in the home when left alone.
Re-homing is a forever commitment & an investment. For the best interest of both Rocky & his new home some form of training commitment will be required & discussed with the current owner to assure a great start on his new journey.

Elton is still available. Looking for the right fit.

Who remembers Elton?? Found on the highway while we did deliveries right before the big temp drop.

He is looking for his forever people. Although, all the Modern K9 staff love him, it’s not the right time for a new addition. He’s the luckiest pup alive! Raw fed, vaccinated, dewormed, and training well started. He’s crate trained, travels in the car and on public transit like a dream. He is the most properly socialized puppy anyone could ask for, and we think he’s going to be the perfect active pet for someone. He will probably mature to about 70-80 pounds.

Please email [email protected] to see if Elton is a proper fit. Please remember, he doesn’t need any home, he needs the right home for him. His well being will come before anyone’s feelings.
