Urgent: Foster Homes Needed for Nine 5-Week-Old Puppies

We have nine adorable puppies, approximately 5 weeks old, in urgent need of foster homes. The mother, a smaller brindle Mastiff-Lab mix, has stopped nursing them, and the father is a Black Lab-Rottweiler mix.

Unfortunately, the mother is no longer allowing the pups to feed, and the current owners need to find them homes immediately. The mom and puppies are currently living outdoors. The person who found the puppies is trying to assist the family in getting their dogs fix, but they haven't been successful yet. Sadly, the mother has already had two litters this year.

If you have a basement, garage, or any space where you can temporarily care for these puppies until we find them full-time foster homes or adopters, it would be a tremendous help in saving them.

Please reach out as soon as possible if you can assist.

FOSTER... "As a foster organization, we cover the cost of food, treats, bowls, toys, bedding, collar, and vetting for the animals in our care. If there are any other items that you require for the animal, we are happy to provide them.

Our only request is that you shower the animal with lots of tender love and care (TLC). Thank you for your dedication to providing a loving home for one of our animals."

We are overjoyed to share a heartwarming update about Daisy the beautiful senior girl who recently found her forever home! 💕

A huge thank you to the wonderful adoptee who adopted her and is giving her the best life she deserves. Senior dogs have so much love to give, and it's incredibly special to see one find a loving home.

Thank you for opening your heart and home to this sweet girl. We can't wait to hear more about her new adventures with you! ❤ ❤

BIO:
A Loving Senior Border Collie in Need of a Forever Home
Meet Daisy, a beautiful 10-year-old female Border Collie, ~50 lbs., who is in desperate need of a loving home for her golden years. She is healthy but real sad.

Daisy has had a rough year. She lost her owner last year, and just six months ago, she lost her mother as well. Now, she spends her days in a garage, waiting for a kind lady who comes home after work.

Despite her hardships, Daisy remains incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves people, children, and other dogs, but she would do best with fellow senior pets or to be the only pet. Daisy is house trained and, although she was an outdoor dog, she now loves being indoors and is very well-behaved.

*** FOSTER / ADOPTEE WANTED ***

No one came forward for this handsome boy :( Can anyone help?

TYSON is an 8-Month-Old Lab/Mastiff Crossbreed, male, housetrained. Looking for a Loving Home.

This wonderful boy has a natural affinity for women and children, effortlessly winning their hearts with his gentle nature. He warms up to men who take the time to show him kindness and gentle affection. He's great with other dogs, especially females, and with the right introduction, he can get along well with male dogs too. His behavior improves with each social interaction.

This loving companion thrives on attention and inclusion in activities. He adores swimming, car rides, and playing fetch with sticks, balls, frisbees, and rings, understanding commands like "go get it" and "bring it here." He knows basic commands like sit, lay down, come, and stay, especially in the home setting, and he's eager to learn new tricks with treats and consistency. With his boundless energy, he loves running outdoors and enjoys cuddling. He's very protective of his family and property, but quickly shows his friendly side once he feels safe.

Overall, he's a healthy and loyal dog, just waiting for the right family to shower him with love and attention.

BIO from finder:
This boy is an 8-Month-Old Lab/Mastiff Crossbreed Looking for a Loving Home.

Unfortunately, he has experienced severe mistreatment and neglect.
This boy was prematurely weaned at approximately 4 weeks of age and taken from a family who did not have the means, or knowledge to provide this puppy with the proper care and training it deserves.

This pup presents as nervous around men and displays signs of mistrust and aggression in encounters with men . Abuse is strongly suspected. He also displays a fear of brooms and mops. He was confined to a room indoors and evidence of neglect was present.

Someone from Social Services took it upon themselves to remove this pup at approximately 6 months of age due to concerns surrounding his living environment, treatment and condition. This rescuer took it upon themselves to care for this boy with the intention to stabilize and rehome him. However due to demands of their job and long work hours, this boy is in desperate need of a foster to continue providing care and training.

*** HAPPY CANADA DAY ***

PLEASE.. Leave pets at home during Canada Day fireworks.

Excessive noise and bright flares racing through the sky may be a dazzling to people, but to pets it's a terrifying display.

"Animals can be very fearful of the noise and the lights so it's always best to leave pets at home if you're going to the firework."

"Be aware of heat, and make sure that your animals are in a cool area. Don't leave them in cars or in back yard by themself."

** Donation of Dog Food for...
Animal Rescue and/or Stray Animal Care **

Hi everyone,

We have a variety of dog food kibbles that we would like to donate to an animal rescue or individuals who feed stray animals at the reserve. Here’s a list of the available items:

A large container full of kibbles
A sealed large bag of Purina Alpo (New)
A medium bag of Blue Buffalo BLUE puppy food (Full)
A medium bag of Royal Canin Gastrointestinal dog food (Full)
A sealed bag of Hills Prescription Diet puppy kibble food (New)

We no longer use these types of kibbles as we have switched to grain-free lamb or salmon kibbles for our animals in care. The food is split between two locations:

Winnipeg: Tupperware full of kibbles and a sealed bag of Hills Prescription Diet puppy kibble food
Crystal City: The rest of the food items (Alpo, Blue Buffalo, and Royal Canin)

If you are interested or know someone who could benefit from this donation, please send me a private message to arrange for pickup. We are eager to get these items to animals in need and would appreciate your help in spreading the word.

Thank you for your dedication to animal care! ❤️

HIARC Team.

Help Wanted: Moving Assistance for New Shelter - Compensation Provided!

Exciting news! We've secured a property complete with buildings, enabling us to establish a shelter for animals full-time. However, we require assistance, and we're prepared to compensate for it.

We're seeking someone who owns either an enclosed truck or a pickup truck with a large enclosed trailer (similar to Agassiz style) to aid in our move from Stuartburn to Crystal City. Our belongings are minimal, equivalent to that of a one-bedroom house, along with rolled fencing, a lawnmower, etc. Everything is already packed and ready to load, and we'll gladly assist in the loading process, requiring only one additional person.

If you're able to assist, please provide your rates. Reasonable offers are appreciated, and if you choose to donate your time, we'll ensure a satisfying meal as a token of our gratitude ❤.

Professional movers need not apply, as their services exceed our budget.

Please reach out via PM or text at 204-688-6555. Thank you!

Update...
We are also in search of a 100-foot wooden fence complete with posts and a gate, ideally standing 5 to 6 feet tall. ❤

Your support means the world to us! As a registered animal rescue charity, our core mission is to provide every animal in need with the opportunity for a happy and loving life. Yet, we're currently facing a significant obstacle: the growing difficulty in finding foster homes. To address this challenge, we're striving to fence our property.

As a foster-based organization, we heavily rely on the generosity of fosters who open their hearts and homes to our rescues. However, we recognize that not everyone can accommodate animals, and many fosters are unable to commit for extended periods.

That's why we're turning to our compassionate community for assistance. By installing fencing, we'll establish safe and secure areas where our rescues can play, exercise, and thrive. This initiative will not only expand our capacity to care for more animals but also guarantee their well-being during their time with us.

We're in need of a minimum of 48-inch H 15-Gauge Welded Wire Galvanized Steel Netting Fence Mesh, or similar alternatives, along with necessary posts—such as R-Bars cut to 6 feet in length or if anyone has a wooden fence with posts that are no longer needed, we would be grateful to take it off your hands.

Your support can truly change lives. Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word, every contribution matters.
