51 is branching out and dabbling in a new discipline for this year’s clinic lineup. With our new footing, we are excited to announce that Tara Bastarache will be coming to 51 acres, to teach YOUTH BARREL CLINIC.

We’ve always loved the idea of hosting a youth clinic, to promote the growth of the sport. This clinic is open to riders 18 and Under. It is suitable for riders and horses of all levels.

As many of you know, TARA is a force to be reckoned with in our local barrel circuits. She is a four-time world qualifier, and has made the travel to Georgia on multiple occasions for the NBHA world finals. Tara shares the passion of educating the youth of our rodeo world, and will give the kids the tools they need to succeed. Join us as Tara breaks down the basics of barrel racing, and shares her expertise. 

We also are happy to announce that auditing will be free for any youth 18 & Under who would like to come watch the clinic.

Did you know we offer grass turnouts during summer? Today was our crews first day out to summer pasture! Maggie was ready for her photo op!


We take pride in pasture management, making sure our horses have grass to enjoy all summer long! There are many benefits to putting your horses to pasture!

🌾 Horses are herbivores by design and foragers by nature

🌾 Horses evolved to have a strong desire to forage and chew constantly, making them most content when they can constantly be feeding/grazing of forages

🌾 Running and free choice movement is proven to reduce stress

🌾 Unlike other mammals, horses produce stomach acids whether or not there is food in the stomach- Therefore the best thing you can do to reduce your horse’s ulcer risk is to allow them to forage naturally!

FAQ “Do you have any stalls available now, or in the near future?”

We receive messages daily about stall availability/ our wait list. We do not have a traditional wait list. To ensure that we are able to meet all of your horses needs, and to ensure 51 is the right fit for you and your horse, we have all potential borders fill out our application form. We then choose applicants based on best fit.

For example, if a gelding whom is currently in our “all gelding pasture” leaves, we often will chose another gelding that does well in a playful environment to ensure that all the horses will get along well. Another example is that we cannot accommodate individual turn out currently, so a stallion would not be a great fit here!

Here at 51 we take pride in the fact that we rarely have movement in horses/borders. We work hard to make our facility the best it can be, and due to this fact, we have created a tight knit barn family.

✨OUR LAST CLINIC OF 2023 ✨

▪️It is important to note that all deposits are refundable in the event that we must close down due to infection control concerns! ▪️

51 Acres is welcoming one of our favourites- ERIN MACQUARRIE for our DIVE INTO DRESSAGE clinic! After fabulous reviews from our spring clinic, we couldn’t help but bring Erin back for round two!

If you don’t already know Erin- Erin is an Equine Canada certified Competition Coach Specialist. She is actively maintaining a client base of approximately 100 people throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and has successfully taken one of her students from training level though to the FEI Juniors, ultimately guiding her to qualify for Team Canada and attending the NAJYR championships for two consecutive years. Erin has trained and campaigned numerous horses from training level though Grand Prix in New York and throughout Eastern Canada. Throughout her career Erin has won many awards and championships including earning two Equine Canada Rider EIGHT Awards along with Silver and Gold Lapel Pins. She is fantastic, and we are SO excited to have her join us this December!

▪️This clinic is open to all levels, and groups will be placed accordingly- this includes horses/ riders of different disciplines that are wanting a clinic about body control and softness.

▪️NOTE- last clinic we had two full western groups who had a BLAST! This is not restricted to dressage riders by any means🤠
