Spencer’s 🐕‍🦺 mom messaged me tonight about the pearl collar she got him 7 years ago - this has brought back many memories.

Before the bakery took over, Fido & Fifi started by making pearl and crystal dog and cat collars. We were even featured in an article of Martha Stewart’s Weddings magazine.

It’s awesome to see how far we have come.

On this episode of Fido’s Friends’, we have Jersy happily working on a back strap tendon. I know a few doxies that are good chewers so this should keep her occupied for a while.

Back strap tendon is high in collagen for healthy joints, high in proteins and is great for keeping the teeth clean.

Most people who talk to me know that I have been looking for a kitten. Well, I found one - he’s been home for four hours and is already into everything. I was thinking my life was a bit to quiet and needed some chaos- so I bought it as my Xmas present to myself. He doesn’t have a name yet, so let me know in the comments what you think I should call him. Some info - he’s 10 weeks old and is a flame point himalayan.

Birch Sugar is another name for Xylitol.
An extremely toxic sweetener alternative to sugar, it is showing up in more and more products.

The amount of Xylitol that can harm your dog is extremely small - half a piece of gum is enough to seriously harm a 15lb dog.
🐾
While peanut butter is a common Dodd with in, it is also in many sugarless gums, toothpaste, and even yogurt.

Please be very vigilant when purchasing products - we all want to keep our pets safe.

Hot Cars Can Kill! As high temperatures continue, the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth is responding to calls to aid animals in distress in hot cars. Even on fairly mild days, with the car parked in the shade and with the windows down, parked cars can quickly reach deadly temperatures. Animals, especially dogs and cats, have a limited ability to sweat, so even a short time in a hot environment can be life-threatening.
