Steve and I fell in love with our first PWD in 1990. We were looking for a non-shedding, medium-sized dog. What we got was so much more than that.

Our first dog arrived from Colorado in August of 1990 - Del Sur's Sweet Molly Girl. Molly lived into her 17 th year, She was the first Canadian PWD champion, and she was shown exclusively in the Lion Clip. Boy, the comments around the ring used to be something to hear! Now 30yrs later, many people recognize the Portuguese Water Dog and the demand for these dogs continues to grow. Most puppies go

to pet homes and for that reason we breed for temperament and health. These dogs bring us such joy and laughter, Over the years we have met so many wonderful families. We are now seeing ONDULADO puppies going to a new generation, Children that grew up with our dogs are now building their own families and we are proud to say, are including an ONDULADO puppy. My hope is that our PWD owners will use this page to update us with photos and news of their puppy's exploits. I also will keep you informed re litter announcements and our breeding plans for the future. Thanks for reading!

Such a lovely litter this was. In respecting provincial guidelines and staying safe, there were no visitors allowed - and so this meant daily videos and updates. Thank heavens for DropBox and we finally have unlimited wifi ( most days) and so able to do this. What it means is that I have dozens and dozens of videos and my seemingly non-stop commentary on the events of each day. What a great keep-sake for me to look back on. Spent today taking each pup for a car ride and then getting their bags packed for tomorrow. Will really miss them. Ciabatta is staying on until Thursday and I think this will help to ease the transition for first time mom Luna, as well as Steve and I. Wonderful families too - 2 previous long time Ondulado families, a second generation family, (always exciting), 1 off to a friend and his young family, 1 local family and 2 new to PWD’s families. Makes me feel really good about all the hard work that goes into raising these babies. I would be remiss if I didn’t thank @ Carolynne Hardy Issa for going above and beyond to make this happen and @ Sara Bowie Hunter for being Chilko’s human. Chilko makes beautiful babies. The pups are curious, confident and playful. They have been most entertaining and I know their new families will adore them as I do. 💙🐾👋🏻🐕‍🦺🥰

Happy to announce the safe arrival of Ondulado’s Moonlight Dancer x CH Lunanova’s Chilko Freestone’s litter. 6 females and 2 males. Mom and babies doing well. Many thanks to Carolynne Hardy Issa for making this happen. (All pups are reserved)
