I officially opened Jungle Out There Pet Services on September 1, 2015, after my husband Richard and I had struggled to find professional in-home pet care for our own animals. My education, experience, and passion as a pet owner boasts professional, compassionate, and personalized care to both 2 and 4 legged clients. I offer a wide range of services:

- Private Dog Walks
- Off-Leash Pack Dog Walks

- Pet Care Visits (15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length)
- Home/Security Checks
- Pet Supply Pick Up/Pet Taxi
- Backyard Chicken/Small Flock Resources

All services include regular updates, a detailed visit checklist of tasks completed, an overall health evaluation and lots of TLC! There are no additional fees for medication administration or for holidays. I am insured, licensed, bonded, certified in Pet First Aid/CPR, and vet recommended. I am happy to provide references and a copy of my criminal record check upon request. Rescue work is near and dear to my heart and I have partnered with Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society for a fundraising initiative called Change for Critters! Clients will have the option to add $1.00 to their invoice which will go directly to help the animals! Call or text today to book your complimentary Meet and Greet! Effective November 1, 2016: I am unable to provide pet care services to clients who live outside of High River town limits

Effective January 1, 2020: Only once daily 15 minute pet care visits and home/security checks are offered on Saturdays and Sundays

Effective July 1, 2022: A total mileage fee of $2.50, plus GST, is added to each service

Our holidays were jam packed this year… how about you?

From hosting Christmas at our farm, to adding a new horse to the family, to oodles of pet visits while my clients traveled, saying goodbye to one of our beloved cats, a Christmas visit to the hospital’s long term residents with our pony, visiting Richard’s family in Redcliff, a trip to Great Falls with my ma, and a million other things - we packed a lot into a few weeks! 😂❤️

I’m looking forward to our routine returning this week and reconnecting with all my regular clients and their critters. I booked in lots of pet care for 2025 over the holidays for my clients as folks are planning ahead and it’s looking like it’s going to be another fabulous year!

Sadly our little amigo Longview is not coming with us into the New Year 🥲 Today we said goodbye to our shop cat homie and truly one of the best cats ever. Unfortunately his condition deteriorated rapidly these past few days. Physically he was not in very good shape and any sparkle left in his eye was long gone. We knew it was time. Although we are both very sad and it was a hard decision, we knew it was also the right one and we feel a sense of relief knowing he’s in a better place. We will greatly miss this larger than life presence around our farm for a very long time. It just won’t be the same doing chores every night in the shop without this fellow crawling all over me demanding attention. He just was the sweetest soul and loved by so so many. Even today as sick as he was, he was purring and nudging us with his head right up until the end.

Big thanks to Dr. Teri and all the staff at Riverwood Veterinary Clinic for their care of him over the years as we managed his diabetes, and also the amazing compassion they showed us today. Every little detail was taken care of, down to letting us pay in the room so we could be in private for the entire process. Those small things make a big difference. Also a big thanks to heavencanwaitrescue_highriver for match-matching us 6 years ago to our handsome man. They truly could not have picked a more perfect cat to live with us at the farm and we know they’ll miss him dearly too 💔

Had the pleasure of spending yesterday with my 3 favorite fellows, bringing some Christmas cheer to long term residents and their families at our local hospital 🎄❤️🐴

So special to see so many smiling faces (and yes a few were moved to tears 🥲) as they visited with Jesse and hear stories from many of them of how they grew up around horses. This has become something of an annual tradition and one I hope continues for many years to come as it brings such joy to all 🙏🏼

I want to express my utmost gratitude to Melissa with Stamp n' Stencil for yet another year of creating the most beautiful gifts for my clients! 🙌🏼

This year she designed these gorgeous placemats for my clients pets. Not only do they look amazing, they are also super practical and can be thrown in the washer and dryer without worrying about shrinking or wrinkling.

Received some very sad news the other day, that Longview one of our cats from Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue Foundation, has cancer 💔 We adopted him when we first moved to our acreage 6 years ago and he’s one of two original “shop homies” we have left. Poor little fellow started to act off a few weeks ago. Initially it looked like a bad infection but when a week of antibiotics didn’t help him, a recheck with Dr.Teri and X-rays confirmed a mass in his abdomen 🥲 Sadly there is really no options to treat it, other than to bring him home on some medication to keep him comfortable and let him live out his life until we have to make the call. Longview is the reason why both Richard and I fell in love with cats with his charming, hilarious, and super sweet personality. I always joked he was the best cat to be diagnosed with diabetes a few years ago, as he never once minded being poked with a needle twice a day as it meant getting attention which he loves 🥰 We will cherish his remaining time with us and our other shop homies will too, as they are sure loving him up hard these days. Big thanks to Dr.T and the rest of the team at Riverwood Veterinary Clinic for all the amazing care they’ve given him 🙏🏼 Sure would appreciate everyone keeping him in their thoughts and prayers, he is a very special cat 🩷

It is so awesome when businesses cater to pets ❤️ Loved all the special touches in our room when wee Rosie joined Richard and I last night to stay at the Banff Springs Hotel for his Christmas party. The staff were so accommodating and loved on her also. And best of all Rosie’s parents are staying at a Fairmont hotel too on their tropical vacation, so funny! 😂👌🏼

Baby Bowser update 💚🐢 Wee man has settled well into his new home and is surprisingly quite active at times, rearranging everything in his tank 😂 He loves soaking in his water dish and has a very healthy appetite. He provides entertainment for many of my clients dogs and has met many of our family and friends already. Such a perfect addition to our zoo! 🙏🏼

I had the pleasure of escorting Santa’s reindeer (aka Jesse, our miniature horse) into the city this afternoon with my Dad to visit and take photos with Santa himself and the residents at Clifton House 💚❤️ What a special way to celebrate the holidays for their over hundred residents and I felt very blessed to be a part of it. Big thanks to all the staff who organized and coordinated this event - you are superstars and made the holidays this year very memorable for these folks!

What is better for your sweet 16 birthday than a new set of wheels?! 🩷🥹🚗 I’ve had the pleasure of taking care of Miss Matilda for several years, even since her humans moved to Airdrie. Despite some health issues that have come with her age, she’s still living her best life with the most awesome humans ever 🫶🏼 They got her this wagon recently so she can still come on all the adventures and she loves it! I can’t even handle the shades and how she’s rocking her Stamp n' Stencil bandanna from her auntie. Keep killing it, girl! 🙌🏼

Okay, so every dog is awesome… but is your dog “brings the groceries in for you” awesome?! 🤣🍌 Tuck’s mom has been telling me how he helps bring in their groceries and she finally got it on video and sent it to me. Omg, I love him and I’m so glad he brings that playfulness to all our Thursday pack walks too! 🥹

Welcome! My name is Cassandra Kirkpatrick and I am the Owner/Operator of Jungle Out There Pet Services. Shortly after my husband and I moved to High River in 2011 with our four dogs, I recognized a need in the community for professional pet care services. We both worked long days at work, and would often say to each other, "Wouldn't it be nice to have someone who was trust worthy, reliable, and loved our dogs as much as we do that could come to our home and let them out during the day?".
