I officially opened Jungle Out There Pet Services on September 1, 2015, after my husband Richard and I had struggled to find professional in-home pet care for our own animals. My education, experience, and passion as a pet owner boasts professional, compassionate, and personalized care to both 2 and 4 legged clients. I offer a wide range of services:

- Private Dog Walks
- Off-Leash Pack Dog Walks


- Pet Care Visits (15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length)
- Home/Security Checks
- Pet Supply Pick Up/Pet Taxi
- Backyard Chicken/Small Flock Resources

All services include regular updates, a detailed visit checklist of tasks completed, an overall health evaluation and lots of TLC! There are no additional fees for medication administration or for holidays. I am insured, licensed, bonded, certified in Pet First Aid/CPR, and vet recommended. I am happy to provide references and a copy of my criminal record check upon request. Rescue work is near and dear to my heart and I have partnered with Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society for a fundraising initiative called Change for Critters! Clients will have the option to add $1.00 to their invoice which will go directly to help the animals! Effective November 1, 2016: I am unable to provide pet care services to clients who live outside of High River town limits

Effective January 1, 2020: Only once daily 15 minute pet care visits and home/security checks are offered on Saturdays and Sundays

Effective July 1, 2022: A total mileage fee of $2.50, plus GST, is added to each service

I had the pleasure this weekend of picking my own flower bouquet at Tierra Flores Farm and what a fabulous place it is! If you love flowers (and seriously who doesn’t?!) go check them out! They’re super close to High River, you can easily book your hour time slot online, go and spend $25 to fill a big cup full of flowers to take home. Jolanda is super knowledgeable and spends time with you at the beginning showing you around and explaining what everything is. She’s an excellent host! Go check them out while there’s still time this season - you’ll be so happy you did! 🌸

On Monday morning my Dad and I had the pleasure of bringing some very special visitors to see the fabulous residents at Silver Willow Lodge in Nanton ❤️🐴 We always have such a great time visiting there and this time the crew was extra spoiled 🥕

Jesse and Margarita have been hauled many miles this summer all around Southern Alberta and it’s been a blast bringing some joy 💜 If you know of a seniors center, nursing home, or just a group of folks who could benefit from some pony pets and donkey snuggles let me know!

Tell me it’s been a wet summer without telling me it’s been a wet summer 😅

I love mushrooms and think they are so fascinating but some mushrooms can be toxic to your dog and care should be taken to make sure your dog does not consume any wild mushrooms, as it can be difficult to tell what kind is harmful and what is not - even for the pros.

🍄‍🟫 Always keep a close eye on your dog outdoors and regularly monitor the areas they spend time in
🍄‍🟫 Keep your pet on leash and if your pet spends time unsupervised in your yard consider removing any mushrooms and continuing to check regularly as they pop up quickly
🍄‍🟫 Symptoms of ingestion can include vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, or even require hospitalization
🍄‍🟫 Contact your vet immediately if you suspect your dog has ingested wild mushrooms and take a picture or bring a sample with you of it

We had another teeny little lady join our pack walks recently 🥹 A big welcome to Miss Lucy-Lu a 9 month old mini dachshund who is joining her older siblings Rosco and Millie on our Wednesday walks 🙌🏼 I am so proud of how she did on her first day. She was a bit overwhelmed at first by all the new doggies, sights, and sounds but quickly found her groove and had so much fun meeting her new friends. Her little tail was just a wagging the whole time and her mom said she was out for the count that night after her big day 🥲 Welcome Lucy-Lu!

The Queen Bee had her second ever pack walk today with big brother Ted and I am just so smitten with this sassy little miss! 💁🏼‍♀️ She loves all the other pups and brings such a fun energy to the group - her zoomies today were hilarious and got everyone going! And she is just so confident with all these big dogs - in her mind she’s 100 pounds 😆 Here’s to many great Thursday adventures ahead with Ted and this little queen!

Howdy folks 👋🏼

Friendly reminder that it’s that time of year where the weather is beautiful, the grass is long, and there is no shortage of BUGS out especially with the moisture we’ve had! 🦟

I strongly recommend all pack walk clients talk to their veterinarian about an appropriate prevention program specific to their dogs which may include deworming and parasite prevention for external parasites such as ticks, fleas, and lice, especially at this time of year. Your vet is the best person to advise you on what will work specifically for your pet.

If your dog comes on pack walks and is showing signs of illness, or has a potentially infectious condition, please keep them at home for the safety of all the other dogs.

What a fun evening at the Guy Weadick Rodeo & Battle of the Foothills! The weather was perfect, we watched some fabulous rodeo action, and some extra excitement as the crowd got to watch and be part of scenes being filmed for the rodeo movie ‘Cowboy’ which has been filming all over Alberta. It’s now Ted Thursdays plus one! 🥹 Now that his wee sister is finally old enough, she was able to join him on his pack walk for the very first time today. And oh my goodness is she a gem! 💎 Just the perfect little sweetie. Loved all the other dogs, had a blast running around and exploring, and just lived her best life! I think Ted really enjoyed having his sis come too and she brought a fun puppy energy to the group. What a doll! She truly thinks and acts like she is a 100 pound pup 😂 Looking forward to many more fun adventures with this little missy!

A friendly reminder that come November 1 I will be spending the day with my husband Richard and dear friend Judy on a trip of a lifetime as we are traveling with Classic Canadian Tours on a polar bear safari in Churchill, Manitoba! So exciting! 🩵🤍🐻‍❄️

No pet care services will be available Saturday, November 1, but all services will resume as usual on November 2. Looking forward to a fabulous adventure!

My Story

Welcome! My name is Cassandra Kirkpatrick and I am the Owner/Operator of Jungle Out There Pet Services. Shortly after my husband and I moved to High River in 2011 with our four dogs, I recognized a need in the community for professional pet care services. We both worked long days at work, and would often say to each other, "Wouldn't it be nice to have someone who was trust worthy, reliable, and loved our dogs as much as we do that could come to our home and let them out during the day?".
