I officially opened Jungle Out There Pet Services on September 1, 2015, after my husband Richard and I had struggled to find professional in-home pet care for our own animals. My education, experience, and passion as a pet owner boasts professional, compassionate, and personalized care to both 2 and 4 legged clients. I offer a wide range of services:
- Private Dog Walks
- Off-Leash Pack Dog Walks
- Pet Care Visits (15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length)
- Home/Security Checks
- Pet Supply Pick Up/Pet Taxi
- Backyard Chicken/Small Flock Resources
All services include regular updates, a detailed visit checklist of tasks completed, an overall health evaluation and lots of TLC! There are no additional fees for medication administration or for holidays. I am insured, licensed, bonded, certified in Pet First Aid/CPR, and vet recommended. I am happy to provide references and a copy of my criminal record check upon request. Rescue work is near and dear to my heart and I have partnered with Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society for a fundraising initiative called Change for Critters! Clients will have the option to add $1.00 to their invoice which will go directly to help the animals! Call or text today to book your complimentary Meet and Greet! With such tragic news on social media this morning of two young lives taken, it is a reminder to truly cherish each day as it is not guaranteed and to hold your loved ones a little closer 💜 Sending love and prayers to the family and friends of these two men.

My Dad, Richard, and I are traveling down to Iowa the week of September 9 to visit the John Deere factories and tractor museum - something that has always been on my Dad’s bucket list! We will be away Monday, September 9, to Saturday, September 14, with no services available during this time.

I’m fortunate to have so many amazing canines in my life and we are very blessed to share our lives with our own two special canines, Waylon and Rose.
We adopted both of them from Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue Foundation shortly after moving out to our acreage 6 years ago. Although they both have their quirks (don’t we all?!), they have picked us as their people and I truly believe we have become better humans having these two as part of our family. We really couldn’t ask for better doggies to share our country life with and they came into our life just when we needed them the most 🩷
Here’s to all the doggies out there who make our world better just by being in it! 👏🏼

What a fabulous day my pops had yesterday celebrating his 74th trip around the sun! 🥳 He was treated like an absolute King and enjoyed visiting with friends and family, cake, cards, balloons, gifts, special treats - the full meal deal. He definitely felt special and loved. Thanks to everyone who sent him a birthday wish and made his day. We love you, Dad! 🤩💙🤎
We had wind, thunder, the sky got dark, and a drop in temperature could be felt but a storm didn’t materialize on yesterday’s pack walk despite it all. Mother Nature did deliver one heck of a cool sky though! 🤩
Wednesday’s just don’t feel the same anymore since we’ve lost some long time pack walk members, including most recently our buddy Mungo 💔
Mungo has been coming on my pack walks since the beginning. Everyone who met Mungo instantly fell in love with this big guy and his big personality to match! He loved other dogs and people, having a good roll in the snow, and going on adventures. He wasn’t afraid to use those puppy dog eyes to his advantage whether that was for a dog treat (or taste of what you were eating 😂) or just getting attention - he loved being in the spotlight!
Sadly despite his mama and the vet’s best efforts his mobility took a turn for the worse and the difficult decision was made to say goodbye. At almost 12 years old though he had many years of making memories and I’m happy to say he was able to come on pack walks right up to the end.
You are so missed my big friend 🥲 We are thinking of all who knew Mungo and loved him, especially his mom and his sister, Poppy. It feels surreal you’re gone. I know you’re in great company at the Rainbow Bridge, buddy 🌈
One of my long time clients will soon be making the move to Calgary 🥲 I have had the pleasure of taking care of her fur babies for many years and am very sad to see her leave High River, although I am sure this new chapter in her life will open many new doors for her 💜
She left me a present yesterday with the most heartfelt card, handmade pictures, and horse magnets - I am truly so touched and will cherish them forever.
Best of luck with your move my friend and this new chapter in your life. I know we’ll stay in touch 🙏🏼

Barley always loves visiting with my folks before our pet therapy (I think they’re pretty fond of her too ❤️).
I have done this event a few times before and these two ladies do a fabulous job. Wonderful way to relax your mind and body, you’ll be so glad you went 🧘🏻♀️
Join me and in High River for an afternoon of rest and reset for the body, mind and soul as we gather for Yoga Nidra followed by a Sound Bath.
We begin with a 15-20 minute gentle stretching sequence followed by Yoga Nidra which is done on your back, fully supported with props.
You will settle in for a guided journey where the body sleeps and the mind remains alert. The full moon is the perfect time to let the universe know that you’re ready to release and reset.
After the Nidra, you will be bathed by beautiful crystal bowls, drums, chimes and more as you let the vibration lift your spirits and ground your soul.
Please bring what is needed to feel supported on your back. Some bolsters will be available.

Foxtails have started to make their presence known again and are thriving in many areas of SK!
This weed-type grass is very menacing. It develops seeds that are intended to burrow into the ground; however, they can burrow anywhere on your pet:
🐾 inside ears,
🐾 into the skin or coat,
🐾 in their paws,
🐾 or even when swallowed or inhaled, into gums, palates, tongue, throat, etc.
These are some of the common places.
Please keep an eye out for these pesky hitchhikers the next time your pet comes in from outside! 🌾🌾🌾

I crossed something major off my bucket list on Monday morning and rode my horse in the Nanton parade! It was a BLAST. I had so much fun “YEE-HAW” ing with the team at Mosquito Creek Law Office - it all went by so dang fast.
Special thanks to the team who made this dream come true for me - Toni and the rest of the MC team, Flattop Horsemanship Clinics and Lessons, my very supportive hubby, Dr.Amanda at Energy Equine Veterinary Services, both our families and friends who came out, and my trusty steed. I am so very proud of a client turned friend Jenn who is pursuing her passion of raising her own buffalo herd, 1907 Bison. I remember many nights as the two of us sat around her kitchen table into the wee hours of the morning as she shared with me her hopes, dreams, and yes fears of one day having her very own pure plains bison herd.
Well, I had the opportunity to meet the herd yesterday for the very first time and it was the coolest experience to be amongst these majestic animals. To see her hard work and dedication to bring her dream to fruition has been incredible to witness! We have also had the pleasure of trying meat from the herd and it is super delicious and lean. You can find their products at Hartell homestead.
Thank you so much for sharing your herd with me, Jenn. I am so proud of you my friend and I love seeing how much joy your herd brings you. Keep chasing your dreams! 🦬
My clients have THE coolest critters. That is all 😜 (PS Have a MUCH greater appreciation for how big this fellow is after holding his shed and you can’t even see it all in this picture 😂🐍).
We made it home after a wonderful, relaxing drive back from Cheyenne! We spent the two days driving back stopping at our favorite shops and restaurants, and also checking out some new landmarks. Truly beautiful country side. We had such a great time away but it’s also so good to be back home reunited with our family, friends, critters, and all my clients furbabes too! 🫶🏼
Tomorrow morning we will hit the road again and start making our way home after a fabulous time in Cheyenne. Too many highlights to list but the top 3 for me has to be seeing Lainey Wilson in concert, the behind the chutes tour at Cheyenne Frontier Days™, and exploring downtown with all its historic buildings. We stayed in Cody last night at the charming Chamberlin Inn where we enjoyed walking around the city and taking in the Cody Nite Rodeo. Today we arrived in Cheyenne, stopping in Casper and at the amazing Hell’s Half Acre summit along the way.
It’s very hot here (40C - I’m in heaven, Richard not so much 😂) and we’re looking forward to spending the next few days taking in the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ and everything else Cheyenne has to offer 💜
Cooper! I always love taking care of this sweet boy 💙 He really lives in the moment and thoroughly enjoys country life. He loves all humans and other animals… there aren’t many doggies you can say that about which makes him extra special. Just a gem of a pup 🥹 He also always snuggled with Miss Betty Jean and his mom used to love the pictures I would send her of the two of them together. We sure miss that girl and I know Cooper does too 🌈😇
This fellow and I are getting ready to hit the road next Wednesday morning bright and early as we are heading down to Wyoming for the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ 🤠
We return the following Wednesday, July 31. The last pack walk before we leave will be on Tuesday, July 23, and it’s looking like another morning walk is in order with the heat that’s predicted 🔥😎

After years of trying to convince Dougie to go in the pool on our pack walks (and believe me - I’ve tried everything!) on Tuesday he finally went in! Yahoooooo! This has been a running joke between his mom and I, as funnily enough he will happily go in a river or lake but the pool is a no go (and he’s not the only pup I know like that!).
It was a quick dip in and I have some doubts if he’ll go in again - but hey he did it and I have photographic proof! 😂 Way to go, pal.
I haven’t seen this sweet boy in a few years now, so it was great to reconnect with him and his humans when they were able to go on holidays. The cool thing was when I stopped by to collect the key before they left, he heard my voice as soon as I walked in the front door and came running up from the basement to greet me! Animals are the coolest 💙

What is better for your sweet 16 birthday than a new set of wheels?! 🩷🥹🚗 I’ve had the pleasure of taking care of Miss Matilda for several years, even since her humans moved to Airdrie. Despite some health issues that have come with her age, she’s still living her best life with the most awesome humans ever 🫶🏼 They got her this wagon recently so she can still come on all the adventures and she loves it! I can’t even handle the shades and how she’s rocking her Stamp n' Stencil bandanna from her auntie. Keep killing it, girl! 🙌🏼
Okay, so every dog is awesome… but is your dog “brings the groceries in for you” awesome?! 🤣🍌 Tuck’s mom has been telling me how he helps bring in their groceries and she finally got it on video and sent it to me. Omg, I love him and I’m so glad he brings that playfulness to all our Thursday pack walks too! 🥹
The pack walk pups are so stoked about the snow! 🥳 (Me? I’m getting used to the idea… slowly 🤣)
I feel how our potbelly pig Pepper does about winter - give me a warm cozy bed, keep bringing me food, and don’t bother me until Spring 🤣🐖 Whose with us? 🙋🏼♀️ All jokes aside - our own critters stayed nice and warm through this first blast of winter and the dogs had SO much fun on their snowy pack walks this week! (I still am looking forward to the nice weather next week, though! 😉)

Molly is super unimpressed that her pack walks this week have been cancelled due to the cold 😞🥶 But we are on the upswing and it’s looking promising for tomorrow! 🤞🏼Hang in there just a little longer, girlie! 🥳
Oban helped me give Mr.T, our Bearded Dragon, a bath! Since y’all loved learning about donkeys, here’s a few facts about Beardies: 🦎 a typical lifespan is around 10 years 🦎 they can grow up to 2 feet long, from their head to the tip of their tail 🦎 they are omnivores - meaning they enjoy eating both plants and insects/small rodents 🦎 they are quite sedentary, but can run up to 9 miles per hour! 🦎 they are an excellent reptile for beginners as they are super friendly - dressing up your Beardie in clothing is a “thing”! 🦎 they are desert creatures and like it hot - 90 to 93 degrees F for a basking temperature is ideal 🦎 that being said, they do usually enjoy warm baths. It helps keep them hydrated and it also acts as a muscle relaxant - they generally will poop in the tub! 😆 So now you have some facts to share around the dinner table tonight (except maybe skip the last one! 🤣)

Seeing triple?! 🧡🧡🧡 Nope, that’s Keira, Barley, and Oban living their best lives! 😆 Keira has come to know Barley and Oban well over this past summer on pack walks, and the three of them are inseparable! So cute!
There’s just something about horses 🎶 and there’s just something about sweet little girls that melts my heart! 💜 Had so much fun this long weekend with my friend Jenn and her brave little 3 year old cowgirl, Sienna! I brought our Miniature Horsemanship mini, Jesse James, for Sienna to ride and they were both little superstars! Also so grateful for my horse Angel safely ponying them around their field 🙏🏼 so freaking blessed to have these incredible friends and horses in my life! 🥺

Last week we made our annual trip to @corrie_ez_bales to pick up bales for our horses (4,500 lbs ish!) and as always, we had a blast! It’s always a treat to catch up with Dave and Corrie and their bales are beautiful this year 🙌🏼 Such a relief to know our critters are all set for the winter ahead. A big thank you to my mom for being our driver - between her, Richard, and myself we made quite the team and had it loaded in no time! 🫶🏼
All the little dogs need lifted up into the small crates in my van… except miss Rosie, the little athletic superstar she is! 🤩 OMG I love this little dog!
These two 💙💜 they must’ve been separated at birth. Keira loves carrying around her sweater, Oban loves carrying around his lamb toy. Sometimes they switch and carry around the other’s and sometimes they both carry around the same thing at the same time! 🤣 What a pair!
My 3 Superstars 🌟🌟🌟 What an amazing May long weekend spent with Richard’s family! I am SO beyond proud of my niece and nephew - they have very limited experience with horses yet they eagerly embraced learning all about horsemanship this weekend. They spent hours upon hours with me learning all about horses and they took it all very seriously! They learned (amongst many things) - how to halter her, how to pick out her feet, how to groom her, how to put bug spray on her, how to saddle her, and then they finally got to RIDE her! My heart could’ve burst with happiness. Both of them were very unsure at first, but they were very brave and soon they were riding Angel ALL BY THEMSELVES with no help from us at all! Super proud auntie here and my heart could not have been any more full 💜 And of course so proud of my girl 😇 She was incredibly gentle, slow, and took such amazing care of these two, giving them the experience of a lifetime. They absolutely adored her and commented to me several times, “Angel really IS a angel” 🥺😭 Such a memorable May long! 🙏🏼
I was the only one in the pack walk group today who wasn’t impressed with the weather 🤣 the dogs didn’t skip a beat and if anything partied even harder! 🥳 And truthfully I’m very grateful for the rain so yahoo! 🙏🏼
Has anyone else gone stir crazy from being cooped up the past few weeks because of the cold weather? 🥶😩🙋🏼♀️ I was SO happy for a break in the weather today and I was able to get out for a ride! 🐎 It sounds like there’s more cold weather this week, then warmer temperatures on the way so hang in there everyone! 😎
Maggie has been such an awesome addition to our Thursday pack walk group! Picking up Sammy is ALWAYS a hoot! There is always lots of laughs, barking, and yes occasionally 💩 gets broken in the excitement! 🤣 I’m going to miss my pack walk pups dearly when we are on vacation! ❤️ We leave for Costa Rica next Friday, November 5, and the pack walk fun will resume Monday, November 14! ✈️
