At Glenhaven Stables, I am proud of the people, the environment, and the culture that exists inside the walls of my barn. I have knowledgeable, trustworthy staff; dare I say I have 25 of the best boarders on the planet; great coaching; good friends.

Today, I must pay special attention to Heather. Heather lives on site, and she is a woman of all trades, I mean nothing slows this girl down, and always a smile on her face!!

We had an unexpected day pop up today, and Heather was the first hand on deck!! She just jumped in to help, help, help . . . and smile!

The first week in November, 2023, Glenhaven Stables will again be hosting Clive Milkins, see link below.
First let’s talk about the seminar that Clive and Equestrian Canada will host in November 8 and 9. Suitable for ALL coaches, officials, judges, parents, volunteers, athletes.
The seminar is focused on Parallel (para) Dressage Education for All. And what I need you to understand is that this isn’t just about the people you think are typical ‘para’ athletes. It is every adult amateur that rides through previous injury, medical diagnosis, and/or physical limitations.
Clive is passionate and more fun than a barrel of monkeys! The agenda is literally open for participants to help develop. Glenhaven would be delighted to have you join us.

It’s a big announcement for this horse family and our barn. Two of our wonderful four-legged companions have new homes. Our beautiful Hannovarian mare, Libby, has a new home in Kelowna. And always reliable and trustworthy, Gibson, has a new family this week also. We are delighted that he is staying within our Glenhaven family.
We will be their biggest cheerleaders in their new loving homes.

Glenhaven Stables is a smaller boarding stable between Calgary and Cochrane and I am looking for an exceptional individual to join my staff on a part time basis.
All day Friday and all day Saturday. Duties include morning feed, turn out, watering and harrowing the indoor, cleaning a handful of box stalls, picking paddocks, preparing afternoon feeds, afternoon turn in, etc.
I need someone who is absolutely reliable, who understands quality horse care, and that will be friendly to my lovely clients.

Our ideal candidate is absolutely reliable, an expert in horse care, and friendly to our wonderful clients.
Typical days are Friday and Saturdays from approximately 6:00 am through to about 3 or 3:30 pm.

We are excited to have Leanne Binetruy and Shooting Star be apart of the Christoph Hess Symposium, working on developing to Prix St Georges.

Leanne Binetruy has spent nearly her entire life with horsehair stuck on her clothes. First as a pest in her grandparent’s barn where horses were used to complete daily chores, and then three- day eventing alongside her sister and mother. These days Leanne is doing her part to ensure there is another generation of horsewomen available to keep households financially strapped well into the future. Her family owns and operates Glenhaven Stables, a small boarding stable in the Cochrane area.

Shooting Star is a 2010 Oldenburg gelding. In 2022 the combination competed at Fourth Level and are looking forward to our first trip down the PSG centerline together. Star is a cooperative, rideable, and trustworthy partner that Leanne is thrilled to have as her own. In a perfect world, Leanne and Shooting Star will continue to look ahead at the requirements of Intemediare and Grand Prix.
