I have ruled my foster parents home now for two months while I recovered from hernia surgery. I am now as healthy and playful as possible and ready to move into my furever family home. I love to play with springs and catnip toys and am passionate about my cardboard scratching pad....which I also choose as a comfy sleep spot every afternoon. I am very, very chatty, so you will always know what is on my mind! I love to snuggle up to your legs when I sleep at night. I have no experience with dogs, but I think I would do well with a kitty partner in crime......just not a rambunctious kitten as I have tried that here and I do not have the patience for high energy. Hello LAWS friends, our cat Ollie went missing on the evening of Saturday August 3rd. He had gone walk-about a few time (or got himself stuck up a tree more than once), but not more than a night or two. he is a bluish grey male (Russian blue??) short hair. Can you post his photo on your FB page and keep an eye out in case he was picked up and delivered to you. We are near Glen Tay on Norris Road, near the Glen Tay dump and not far from Hwy 7 via the bush. He was adopted from LAWS approximately 8 years ago. Much appreciated! Help needed for a mare who has fallen on hard times. This sweet girl has been in a situation where she was lacking adequate shelter and was needing advanced dental work to allow her to digest her food in order to maintain an acceptable body score. She is now in a place where she has access to great shelter and some grass as well as good quality feed and supplements, but it will take some time to get her back to a decent weight. She will need a suitable blanket (or two) for winter days. She has a stall for the nights and those crazy Eastern Ontario winter days.

It will be costly to keep her going. She is such a sweetheart and deserves a chance to get in better physical shape. After only one week she seems happier and understands that everyone wants to help her.
If you can contribute financially, no matter the amount, this girl will benefit. Financial costs will include feed, medical oversight, dentistry, and hoof care to name a few.

Meet Stella! A smiley 2 year-old bully mix who's looking for someone to lean on. She loves to meet people and asks for cuddles from whomever will give them to her! She can get excited and may forget some of her newly learned manners without gentle prompts, so small children are not recommended at this time. Stella is very food motivated and enjoys being hand-fed her meals during walks, training, and enrichment games with her foster people. She also loves 'finding' her food with her nose; honestly, any scent work is fun for Stella-that's how she prefers to learn about her environment! She doesn't have any sight problems; she's just a really good sniffer! She has a suspected sensitivity to chicken and seems to do well on any other proteins. She is spayed as well as house and crate trained. Stella has learned many obedience skills with her fosters and has an excellent loose leash walk. She will often slowly pace herself as she sniffs along, continuously checking in with her people. Stella is selective when making doggy friends, so slow and structured introductions are recommended, but she would prefer to be the only dog in her new home. In the early hours of the morning Stella would love to lean on her person while they sip on their cup of coffee or tea and watch the news before beginning the day's adventures. At the end of a long and active day, Stella's wish would be to enjoy a tasty chew inside her safe space- frozen raw chews have been great for her teeth!

Elsa is an adorable 2 year old bully mix who loves to play and learn. She is super affectionate and is very happy to meet new people. She is very food motivated and enjoys being hand-fed her meals during walks, training, and enrichment games with her foster people. She has a suspected sensitivity to chicken and seems to do well on any other proteins (she would say she has a preference for fish!). She has come a long way with her loose leash and obedience skills! She is even learning some K9 fitness and scent work as well! She is a very energetic little gal who loves long-line adventures throughout wide-open trails, showing off her recall skills with super speed, so if you like to run, she would be the one to keep up with you! Slow introductions with other dogs are recommended; she enjoys the company of certain doggy friends of her choosing but would better thrive as an only dog. Due to her energy level and zoomies, she may not be best with small children, although she would likely enjoy the company of older/dog savvy children. She does have some prey drive, so cats or free-roaming small animals are not recommended either. However, she would really appreciate having someone to sit on a porch or bench and watch the birds with.

Silver is going to be available for adoption very soon. She is a little over a year. Poor girl was starved and took many months to bring safely up to a healthy weight. She had a lot of energy so she needs a large fenced in yard and someone who is willing to exercise her. She is currently trained to the invisible fence but I wouldn’t leave her outside without watching her. She does well with most dogs although she won’t back down from aggressive dogs. Silver is very trainable. She looks to see where her human is and makes eye contact. Do you want a dog to do agility with. Or hiking. She will need physical exercise and will greatly benefit from mental stimulation as well. Silver is house trained. She is also very good motivated willing helps with training but you’d better hide the treats or she will find them. Silver is crate trained but due to her horrendous start to life would do best in a home where she wouldn’t need to be in a crate very long. She lives in a home with three cats. She has never hurt them but she is very interested in them. So either her furrever home doesn’t have cats (any small roaming critters) or the cats are dog savy and have many areas in which to escape her chases. We use gates. Silvers adoption fee is $475 She comes fixed, chipped and vaccinated. Bella has found her furrever home. Lucky Bella. Lucky adopters. 🐶 ❤️ Bella is back up for adoption due to no fault of her own. Do you want a loving, friendly, snuggly , energetic pup? Look no further - Bella is your furrever baby. She is a 7 month old boxer/mastiff mix. Bella loves to play. She is the one with the tail in the video. 🙂 Bella should be in a home with a large fenced yard and with an active family that will exercise her. Bella is still learning manners and likes to jump so small kids are not advised. She also likes to chase whatever runs so small dogs or cats are also not a good match. She doesn’t want to hurt them as much as she wants to chase them. She will curl up beside you on the couch or your bed. She is house trained. Bella is about 50 lbs. Her coat is gorgeous. She is also a very smart girl. She would likely do well in agility since she is so quick and smart. Bella is crate trained and house trained. Her recall needs work but she is food motivated. She also likes to jump and counter surf. Fosters are trying to work on that. Pictures and videos don’t do her justice.
