Well some sad news. Abbey will not be having a litter this year. Unfortunately her timing was off. Or I guess my timing was off. Her progesterone test showed she had ovulated before we could get her to her boyfriends. Being a Breeder is one of the hardest, stressful and tiring jobs I have ever done. I am not a breeder that has tons of litters over the years. I know my limits because I know the toll it takes on my well being everytime I have a litter. I put my heart and soul in every litter to make sure every puppy has the best start at life. Do I make tons of money from this NO. Sometimes in the end when you add up all the vet bills, food, medicine and your time I maybe in the negative. But it is my passion and love seeing the puppies grow and the delight of families enjoying their new family member. I am proud to say that I have not had any of my pups returned to me. I know getting parents to choose not just on colour, but on personality as well, makes a huge difference in ensuring the pup matches the family dynamics. We will see where this journey takes me but I hope in 2025/2026 I will be able to hear little puppy feet running around me. Till than keep following for cute puppy videos and post from previous litter! Cheers!
