“Currier says to prevent the spread of Eurasian ruffe, boaters should not use them as bait, should empty their bilge water and dry their boats before moving between bodies of water and never dump their bait buckets in the water.

In fact, Currier says the sale or possession of live or dead Eurasian ruffe is prohibited by law.”

A new invasive species of fish has recently been detected in northeastern Ontario. Sydney Currier is with the Invasive Species Centre in Sault Ste. Marie and says the Eurasian Ruffe was reported in St. Mary’s River in May.

Tagged out yesterday afternoon on the most beautiful ugly bird we all live to hunt this time of year!!
This guy read the script,and in minutes was at 10 yds 😊
At times turkey hunting can be challenging, but when it happens, it can happen fast. That’s what make it so rewarding!!
Now to help my wife fill her tag, hoping to get her first Tom 🤞

With deer season coming to a close, and turkey season not too far off, I thought it was a good time for this post!
Don’t want to ruffle any feathers here, lol…but I hate hearing when people only breast out their birds.
I like to breast out the bird, then bone out all remaining meat from the carcass, and grind it!
What’s pictured here is the ground from two Toms 🤩it’s exactly 6lbs and 12 oz, of amazing ground Turkey.
Yes it takes some time, but IMHO it’s definitely worth it, and we owe it to this majestic bird!

Enjoyed a great 2023 season, and was fortunate to put a tag on this guy, on Oct 24, on my second morning sit.
He was a tank, and provided a whole lot of amazing meat. After all prime cuts,he yielded 40 lbs of ground!
