With each passing day, Hendrix is finding more and more strength. He's now playing and enjoying every moment!
Hendrix is a 2 year old, male cat who has been through a lot in his short life. He recently suffered a broken pelvis and after spending a night at the Gander Veterinary Clinic, he is now back at our sherlter recuperating.
His previous owners have not come forward to claim him. However, this means that Hendrix is now on the lookout for a new home where he will be loved and cared for. While he may have been on his own for quite some time, he is still a sweet and gentle boy who deserves a chance at a better life. It's important for any potential owner to understand that Hendrix may need some time adjusting to living in a home after being on his own for so long. But with patience and plenty of tender loving care, it's certain that Hendrix will thrive in his new environment and bring joy to his new family. So if you're looking for a furry companion who is resilient and full of love, Hendrix may be the perfect addition to your family.

We wanted to share this video of Ricki, Joanie and their foster mom, in hopes that someone will give them a chance. They are both spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated AND their adoption fee has been sponsored!

Moony! Such a sweet girl!
***Adoption Pending!***
Chickpea is our newest intake. This sweet 4-5 month old girl is very shy and timid but loves human companionship once she warms up to you. Chickpea has been tested negative for FELV/FIV and has received her first vaccinations and deworming. For more information please call our shelter at 709-651-3002
Little Moony has seen a vet for her noisy breathing issue. Her lungs and heart are strong, and she apears healthy but we are still unsure of the cause of her noisy breathing. It's possible she just has a narrow nasal passage. We will be holding her for a couple of weeks, just to be sure she does not get any worse. If all goes well, she will be available for adoption. For more information, please call our shelter at 709-651-3002
Nevada has been adopted!!
Jagger may not be as classy as Denny from Gander Vet Clinic, but he sure knows how to help himself to a squeeze up too! 🐱🐾

Maisie is really enjoying her work experience at The Strand Salon .... almost as much as the staff and clients are enjoying having her there! She's a phenomenal greeter and a real cuddle bug who loves to sit in the laps of clients and purr up a storm. This sweet girl really deserves to have a home of her own. If interested in adopting Maisie, please call our shelter at 709-651-3002
