Thankfully, in Nova Scotia, it is illegal to sell a dog or cat without a certificate of health from a veterinarian. Elsewhere in Canada, right this very minute, Louie, a little golden retriever puppy is fighting for his life. He was purchased last Friday, went off to meet his new family, and almost immediately was diagnosed with parvo. Five days and thousands of dollars later, looks like he might make it. ❤️

When you add a dog or cat to your family, be sure to see that health certificate to save you heartache and expense.
