A lady asked me if I could make her a dog vest that she can use to display some of the military medals and accoutrements she hinerited from her Great Grandfather, Grandfather, and father. So, I had to design a formal looking dog vest. This is the progress so far. The material is from my old gabardine, and I'm going to use the new RCAF accoutrements. This is why the CANADA patch is white on black as opposed to gold on blue.

That the lines appear to match Hazard is not by accident. I designed this one to fit him.

I haven't figured out a price for these just yet, but the first three paid orders I get will be $150. After that, it will be $300 - 400 because it's a lot of work.

Why do I sew?

20 years ago today I was just settling in to my first job as an Aerospace Engineering Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. I was checking on the guys in the avionics lab and Cpl I-forget-his-name calls me over: "Sir, check this out." The little TV they had was showing the news after the first aircraft hit the North Tower. We were thinking that it had to be an accident because the alternative was not good. We were wrong; it was not good.

20 years later, after many lives lost and many more damaged, it is increasingly difficult to to get stuck asking what's it all for. I don't have the words to describe how I feel or what this is all for. I just know that people are hurting. Right or wrong I'm avoiding the question and focusing on healing.

That's why I sew.

Finally, I have an interface material that allows me to make an adjustable collar. These will be available in three sizes:
- 1 1/4" wide: 16 - 22"
- 1" wide: 12 - 17"
- 3/4" wide: 11 - 15"
