During the 7th week, we do temperament testing with our puppies. This helps us pinpoint their personalities and types of homes/families they would be best suited for. We check for assertiveness, confidence, nerve stability, sight & sound sensitivity, human focus, prey drive, tender heartedness and more. 🫶🏼🐾
One of our favourite ways to build confidence and trust between us and our dogs is agility training! It doesn’t have to be anything wild, even just having them jumping on big rocks, walking on logs or the curb, or if you have access to an agility park, even better!
Having your dog follow your command, learn a new skill and work for a reward (whether that’s a treat, or a very excited “good job!”) will build confidence in your dog and their trust in you. When rewarding them, we want to celebrate their wins - we’re talking Fourth of July excited.
On the weekend, Kallie was a little rockstar at the agility park with her family (and big doodle sister Lacey!). Can you believe this was only her 2nd run through the agility course?! What a natural! 🐾🤍
Piper is just living her best life! Her family is very active and she has no problem keeping up! She’s become the best trail dog for them and we couldn’t be happier to see this! 🐾🤍
Lucy (Red Girl), Nova (Pink Girl) & Phoebe (White Girl) were back together for the weekend! They were so excited to see each other and play together 🤍💗❤️
Pink Girl loves a sunny evening outdoors 💗
Happy Monday! Apollo, formerly Purple Boy, also came for a visit to Doodles in the Ruff last week! It’s so special for us to have our puppies come back for a visit and see how their personalities have grown! 💜🐾
never a dull moment with these guys!
Red boy loves the slide! ♥️
Purple boy is born to be wild! 😈
