Therapy Thursday Spotlight: 🐾Hanks Journey🐾 Meet Hank, an always cheerful 5-year-old French Bulldog who came to Pinnacle Animal Hospital after having surgery on his spine. Hank adapted to using his front end to get around, leading to significant weakness and muscle loss in his hind legs. Thanks to weekly rehab sessions utilizing floor exercises and the underwater treadmill, Hank has started to regain strength and use in his hind end. Attention Travelers!
As of August 1, there will be new travel requirements for dogs traveling into the USA by land or air. Continue reading below to learn of the requirements for dogs:
- Healthy and over 6 months of age
- Microchipped
- CDC Import Dog Form to be completed by the pet owner 2-10 days prior to travel
- Certification of Dog Arriving from Rabies-free or Low-Risk Country into the United States: For this certificate your dog should be up-to-date on Rabies vaccination and it will need to be certified by the CFIA. **Please note that at this time we don't have further information on this step, as the CFIA is still determining the best plan for handling this certification**
