Want your business to be the top-listed Pet Store/pet Service?
Throughout my life I have had two steady passions; dogs and the outdoors. With over 20 years experience exploring the trails with furry friends, I have decided to turn my passion into a career.
Let’s face it, dogs are just happy to be out of the house and moving. But in my years of experience, I have no doubt that dogs enjoy and benefit exploring through the wilderness much more than any sidewalk. Hiking in the backcountry offers challenging terrain to work every muscle in their body. It also offers mental stimulation through navigation, the variety of scents, sounds and textures of our natural surrounding and social interaction with other like-minded dogs. If you feel much more relaxed and happier getting away to the great outdoors, imagine how great it feels for your dog.
What happens on these adventures you ask? Well here it is in a nutshell. We pick up your pup and head out to the trails in our wild Wilderness Wagon. Windows down, the breeze blows through their fur and the slobber flies while excitement and anticipation builds. What dog doesn’t love car rides? Time for adventure! We arrive and have a fun-filled trek along one of the many beautiful Georgian Bay trails. Lots of water, treats, play and exploration. After our excursion each pack member gets cleaned up and brought back to their pad to chill and catch some needed zzz’s. Our adventure ranges from 1 1/2 to 3 hours from pick up to drop off (depending on pack size). You can also get a customizable digital report of how they did and a photo of the fun . Oh and the best part, a super happy and relaxed pup!
Certified in canine behaviour, pet first aid, wilderness first aid, fully bonded and insured, rest easy that your best friend is in good hands. During our travels, we use only crash test approved harnesses and offer medium to smaller dogs their own doggy pod (Variocage), the strongest and only multiple crash test certified carrier on the market. Pack size is a maximum of 4 dogs per outing, for their safety and to allow for the individual attention they deserve. Ruffing It only offers on-leash adventures. This is to respect our natural surroundings and to keep the pack out of harm’s way because control is key to a safe adventure. Lastly, all dogs are individually equipped with a real time GPS monitor. This gives you the opportunity to follow along on their journey, while providing peace of mind.
