Line brushing is the best way to make sure you are getting right down to your dogs skin to avoid matting and remove dead hair. We posted a video to our wall showing what happens when only the top coat is brushed.

Here is a good video to explain you why a metal comb needs to be used after you brush a dog's coat. We will also post a video of line brushing which shows you good technique to make sure you are getting down to the skin.
