After many months in foster care Ziggy has been adopted. This sweet boy has his very own mom who drove a very long way to meet him. They immediately fell in love with each other as you can tell from the sparkle in their eyes.

We have had some adoptions the past few weeks and we are so happy. Firstly, after 4 months, beautiful T**e was adopted. She is doing wonderfully in her new home and her new mom and dad are so grateful for this lovely creature. She will have the best life and she certainly does deserve it.

When the stars align, our adopters find the perfect furry companion, much like sweet Ingrid who survived a brush with death after drinking antifreeze. The aftermath was blindness for this angel and we really hoped someone would find her and take care of her for the rest of her life.
A wonderful adopter, who is now her dad, found her on our site and immediately fell in love with her and we are so happy to announce she has been adopted into a home where she has a huge yard and a loving companion who we know will keep her safe and protect her forever.

Our beautiful puppy was adopted and finally made it to Montreal with her new mama waiting anxiously at the airport for her.

Our sweet, shy Nena has been adopted. She was abused and neglected most of her young left and it left her fearful of people.
Her new family have let her grow and get comfortable at her own pace. She lives with two dogs, horses and three human children. We are so happy the family accepted Nena for who she is and what she has been through.

Billy has been adopted. We are thrilled to announce that this funny guy has found his forever home with a great couple who fell in love with him right away. His new dad is a retired k9 police officer who can definitely teach Billy a lot but is so happy he has a dog who can just be a great pet for the family and grandchildren.

Simba was adopted by a lovely Canadian lady who spends part time in Mexico. She came to volunteer at SOS el Arca and fell in love with this lovely dog as soon as she saw him.
Like many of our applicants she jumped through hoops to bring him to her home in Mexico and we so appreciate it. Simba is going to have the most wonderful life travelling all over with his new mama.

We have been busy over the past few weeks and we are happy to announce we have had a number of adoptions.
Firstly, there's Adele, who didn't even get to the posting stage of adoption because her fosters (also previous adopters) could not let this little nugget go. We are thrilled that she is staying right where she belongs and know she will have a fantastic life with her new family.

We are so happy to announce that our brave Quito has been adopted. If you recall he has had a tough few months since his daddy passed away. It was a traumatic experience for this little guy.
He is lucky to now be in a new loving home with a wonderful family who fell in love with him at first sight. His new daddy has experience with training dogs and we know that will help Quito with his new lease on life. Here he is in his new "favourite" spot (a typical mexi.. right by the 🔥)

Sometimes things are written in the stars and in this case pure serendipity took over.
Beautiful Orly was was sent to a foster who was expecting another dog but she stepped in with no qualms and kept Orly with her. He was with her for months with no applications and no prospects for a forever home.
Orly needed the right home, someone who understood him and had patience, well, It seems he had found one all along. His foster has decided to adopt him and we are over the moon.

After months in APM's care. Princessa (now Joobie) was adopted by a wonderful mother and daughter who drove all the way from Ottawa to meet her in Brampton (we love the desire and dedication of potential adopters)! Her mom is a vet so we know she will be taken care of both physically and emotionally. We would like to send a big thank you to our foster Sonia and her entire family for keeping Princessa safe and sound for so many months. We love you! Thanks to all of our followers for sharing our previous post, it was because of this she got a home. We have all the other dogs still available so continue to share to save another.
Sometimes fosters just can't let go of their doggies. This is what happened to our tripod Archie! He was never posted because he was scooped up by a family that fell in love with him. His mama is a professional dog trainer and he is getting a great foundation to become a well balanced dog. Could we ask for anything more? Happy life beautiful Archie.
Our sweet Indie who was adopted some time ago is now playing an instrument. Her family had a bit of a dilemma since Indie's mom is a music teacher and Indie was afraid of all the instruments. With hard work, training and dedication look at her now! Maybe we have our next concert pianist

What a beautiful day to get to change some lives, the sun was shining, people were happy and tails were wagging!!! Our sister shelter SOS el Arca Animal Rescue has been very very very busy with there spay and neuter campaign's helping the local communities with FREE spay and Neuter programs and helping educate on the importance of spaying and neutering your pets. Even with all this our beautiful Sylvie along with her staff and our wonderful adoption co-ordinator helped organize the flight of 8 beautiful souls to us here at APM. Please welcome ... Aurora - in foster Burton - in foster Rigo - in foster Esmerelda - in foster Jeoffrey - adopted Maggy - adopted Pirlo - adopted Taylor - adopted It is always so amazing to watch the emotion as adopter and adoptee meet for the first time. It was a long day for our dogs but like little champions they brought smiles and joy to there new pawrents!! We are heartbroken to announce that APM alumni Tela crossed the rainbow bridge. She was surrendered at the age of 13 after the family she knew her entire life could no longer care for her. Thank you to Ellen, her foster who cared for her for weeks and got her comfortable and happy before she was adopted. We are so grateful to her adoptive family who gave her a beautiful life for 8 months. Fly free sweet Tela may you run and play in the fields of green forever. We love you!

Sweet little alumni Hannie graduated from training school and is as smart as a whip. She also loves the water.. who would have thought!
We believe that only Marley, who was adopted a few months this ago, is the only one enjoying the snow this much today 😂 Many of our mexican dogs hate the cold and snow but Marley is definitely the exception. She is so loved by her family and seeing her so happy and free makes our hearts full of gratitude. We wish this for all our dogs. We love you Marley and keep loving life!
