going through a more northern route of Manitoba and Saskatchewan I kept seeing moose signs but there was mostly canola fields...I was confused as to why there would be moose signs in such areas as any moose I have seen are more in bush areas..i said to my partner wow wouldn't it be amazing to see a moose in a canola field !!! by the time we got to my uncle and aunts in Saskatchewan I mentioned all the signage and was stunned to learn moose love canola..so you can imagine what I was looking for every canola field afterwards....and wasn't I blessed to see this finally in Manitoba on the way back!!!! this was the last photo I took of wildlife on the trip what an amazing collection of animals I got to shoot!! looking forward to the next adventure out that way!!

When we were in Prince Albert National Park there was a couple of foxes that greeted us looking for a handout...was incredible to see these so close but also incredibly sad as they are so use to being fed ...remember folks FED WILDLIFE ENDS UP BEING DEAD WILDLIFE......

Well today I saw an exciting sight!! a NEW to me den!!! Looking forward to may and june for kits !!!unfortunately I had my settings messed up so these pics look best in black & white !! also learned that as soon as they are mating they start using the den again..I thought they on used den when giving birth up till the kits leave !!

Happy New Year from me...it has been a long time since I have posted on this page. Life has gotten busy and the photography has taken a bit of a backseat ..hopefully this year I get back at it !!! I was privileged over the holidays to drive to a dream state.. not nearly enough time was spent there but I certainly got a feel for the area and I😍 will be back.. it has stolen a piece of my heart ...ARIZONA USA..here is a few of the pics i took but it doesn't do this lovely state justice!!

what a day...foggy day plus headache plus my Shiva ran away>>thankfully only to the neighbours..and they brought her home 1/2 hr before my afternoon run.( i called her every 10 minutes plus up and down road in wheels looking for her)... in the meantime I got my first snowy owl that was close, of the season, that was not on a hydro pole ..plus my first pellet from said snowy owl !!!..only one farm away from me, and an eagle came to the willow in the back forty ..too far away because of fog and too far away lol.. but made for a cool shot I think anyways!!!!

Got a special treat on this trip ..finally saw Northern Gannets...this one put on a special show for us....and then seeing Bird Rock at Cape St Mary's where they are nesting by the thousands!!! was amazing to witness this.. some cool facts about them is once they finish nesting they do not land on land again until next nesting season!!!In North America, the Northern Gannet breeds in only six well-established Canadian colonies: three in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Quebec, and three in the North Atlantic off the coast of Newfoundland one of which is Bird Rock..Nearly as large as an albatross, the Northern Gannet is sharp in every respect, with a heavy, sharp bill, pointed tail, and long slender wings. Adults are snowy white with black wingtips and a crown washed with gold. To see gannets hunting fish is one of North America’s great wildlife spectacles: flocks rain down upon the ocean, blizzardlike, by the thousands, looking like a force of nature. The birds’ excellent vision and vigorous vocalizing when diving helps them catch fish as well as avoid collisions with other diving gannets.

found quite a few lighthouses on this trip ..all the way from the farthest east in Newfoundland ,Cape Spear to across the Strait of Belle Isle on the west coast and seeing a lighthouse in Labrador!!! what an Amazing trip ..huge shout out to my Mama Pearl...these excursions would never happen if it wasn't for her !!!
