A 2 acre hobby farm situated in rural Summerland, BC. Visiting hours by appointment only Our honour system fruit stand is open seasonally on weekends.

Started in September 2016, our hobby farm grows garlic, berries, peaches, pumpkins, squash, melons, asparagus, apples, chicken eggs and much more. When you visit, say hello to our 2 Nigerian dwarf goats Cali and Tahs, our 12 chickens and rooster Joe.

KIDS' CLOTHING & TOY SWAP MONDAY FEB 13th 11 - 7:00pm drop-in: Please bring in your good condition, clean, and stain-free baby and kids clothing, as well as clean, safe, good condition toys. Items should be suitable for up to age 10. Participants will receive a voucher to use for swapping on the big day, and remaining items will be donated to Mamas for Mamas 💖
NOTE: Maternity clothes welcomed too!

I made a few everlasting wreathes. 23 to be exact that dropped yesterday in a stories sale on our Instagram. All wreaths are saved in highlights if you missed the sale & range in diameter 6-21 inches and pricing from $15 -$120.

Everlasting wreathes are fully dried and won’t loose their colour. They are constructed with all local flowers, I grew about 90% of and I also made all the forms with grape vines from the property.

Super awesome hang out yesterday with Mrs. Andrea from the Sherk Street Farm. If you don’t know Andrea, she grows epic garlic and has been sorta a mentor to me these past few years. I was really excited to host her for a little garlic braiding workshop to see if I could teach others how to make braids. Andrea shared some of her beautiful flowers and we hung out in the shade making braids. She was a great student and we had fun. Hoping to braid more garlic together this summer as soon as the red Russian is ready!

With frosty ☃️ in the forecast and snow already falling on the hills that we see from the house, it’s time to get the garlic planted! Thankfully #blessed we have amazing neighbors who let us borrow their tracker to till since our little hand till ate 💩 it this year. We have tried to implement a not till system in the food forest we are creating but in some areas of the property have never been farmed we felt we should give it one till before planting the first time. We added loads of goat 💩 & compost too soo hopefully we can get planted because #winteriscoming❄️ #plantgarlic #stewberryfarm #thankyouneighbor

Yesterdays dirty faced farmer pic of the day. I generally try to keep on smiling especially on days when I am feeling defeated but some days are harder then others. Often we hear from people “oh you have a farm? I was going to do that.” And I ask them “so what happen? Did you realize how much hard work it is?” Farming is not easy & it’s not for everyone. There is no correct way to do one task and the easiest quick fixes generally leads to doing it over again next season. To all those who “were going to start a farm,” I just keep smiling & say GO FOR IT. Give farming a try.
