Good Morning Everyone,

In order to live up to the level of trust that you have placed in us as your chosen daycare provider, we feel it is our obligation to inform you that the Bordetella outbreak in Barrie is on the increase. Tuesday alone we had to send home 4 dogs that were displaying symptoms. We have decided to make the difficult decision to suspend daycare and training services until August 9th. As a token of our appreciation for your loyalty and co operation we would very much like to offer all dogs that have attended in July a complimentary day of daycare upon the week of your return during the month of August (after August 9th). The incubation period for Bordetella is up to 14 days which is why we are closed for exactly that amount of time. We recognize that this is your choice, but we would like to respectfully request that for the protection of our furry friends and in the spirit of what this exceedingly difficult decision is attempting to accomplish, that your dog does not attend other canine facilities or local dog parks. Complete isolation for the full incubation period is the only way to ensure there are no asymptomatic dogs sharing the virus from other daycares or dog parks. We have been diligent in separating our overnight dogs into different staff members’ homes (to the best of our ability) to ensure there are no potential infections and we want to be sure this closure is not in vain. During this time, all packages will be put on pause and honored upon your return. While we understand this is a significant undertaking, the health and safety of your pups is paramount to us.To help facilitate this, we will be offering individual dog walks for clients in need. This must be booked in advance to ensure that we are staffed appropriately. If you require this service, please contact us as soon as possible for more information. We hope you understand, and we will rely on your honesty and integrity through this time to help keep all our beloved companions as safe as possible. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

Juno is learning to lay nicely on her mat when asked. This is a great management tool. Instead of the dog running to the door and jump on people mat training gives the dog a new job. It also helps them look to settle down.great work

Juno's journey

Impulse control is hard for many dogs but it is a very important skill to teach any dog. It helps them to learn to patient and it keep them safe and out of trouble!

Juno's Journey:

Juno is working in a little more distracting location but not overwhelming for her. We focused on checks in/ giving attention. This helps the dog to look at us for help instead of just reacting. Also, she worked on her sits, downs and recall in a different location.

Juno's Journey. Juno is one of our board and trains. Sometimes Juno can be a little over excited and likes to jump up and give a lot of licks! We are working on a more polite way of getting attention.
