The idea for Cloud 9 Canine began after constant trips to pet stores for high quality dog treats created a time burden as a pet owner. They say that certain breeds of dogs have larger intelligence so much so that they train their owners to provide their diet preferences when it comes to treats. At the beginning of my journey into owning two Maltese Terriers (brother and sister) I did not know abou

t the amount of fillers in dental sticks and the huge amount of chemicals in rawhide chews. On annual visits to the vet, the weigh in routine always included a scolding message about overweight problems for this breed. My quest to seek more natural treats led me to pet shops and away from the grocery store pet isles. Gone was the convenience of picking up pet treats while grocery shopping. I did my homework to learn about the dog’s natural need to chew as a pastime while I was away at work. Now the challenge was both financial and convenience because visits to pet shops garnered treats that lasted a day and required me to visit much more frequently to replenish treat supplies. It was not uncommon to spend $30 - $40 a week to keep my dogs in higher quality treats. That is when the idea of a subscription service first came to mind. What if I could buy treats online and have them mailed directly to my home saving both time and money? My research into high quality sources of Canadian-made treats led me to a high quality producer offering a full range of treats for small, medium and large dogs. Their operation is clinical food quality and their experience with different sized dogs helped Cloud 9 Canine gain an understanding of appealing to all sizes of dogs. In the toy breeds, our goal was to provide the pet owner with the convenience of a full month of treats. The benefits of high quality treats are many including dental hygiene, improved breath and a contented psychological state of mind while the pet owners are away. Our treats are 100% no pesticides, no preservatives, no additives and the smoked treats are flavoured in a smoker – not dipped into liquid smoke. Our goal at Cloud 9 Canine is to give pet owners the peace of mind our treats are of the highest quality available in Canada, the convenience of buying direct to your home and offering a better price for treats when factoring in the cost of delivery.
