Our Original Stallion

This is Milan who was our first breeding stallion and a competitor in the Show jumping and Eventing disciplines. Seen here competing at Rocky Mtn Show jumping in Calgary AB Canada. Milan is an Andalusian horse. With his strong work ethic and huge heart he boldy took on the jumps leading him to successful finishes at many of the shows he competed at. He had a long flowing mane which was always noticed by people. Most expected to see jumpers with short cropped manes. He wasn’t your average jumper. He was a delight to train and work with. Andalusian horses have short backs and are close coupled so turns and times were always tight, giving him a definite advantage in jump off times. These are amazing horses and are referred to as “The Horse of Kings” You can see them depicted in art work and paintings of days gone by. They were the chosen horses kings could trust to ride into battle. They were the preferred mount. They are brave and bold and it was said they were the only horse, “fit for a King” In our experience they are deep, wise and soulful beings. We were graced with the Andalusian horse on our farm. We felt very privileged to be so fortunate to have each one that shared in our lives. They are a blessing. We take great care in our training, working with Josh Nichols’ “Relational Style” of horsemanship. We were blessed to sell horses to some amazing people. We keep the connection and share in the success of great homes and owners that carry on working with these beautiful horses. It truly was and is a gift to our family to share these great horses with some wonderful homes and families. In gratitude, Sheila.
