Each consultation uses Tanja's knowledge in nutrition, training, supplements, and essential oil therapy, alongside traditional massage, accupressure, kinesiology taping, stretching, and exercise programs. Wildrose Equine Health has been inspired by the personal passion of Tanja to optimize equine health and performance throughout the vast disciplines. Her passion has fuelled many years of dedicated learning, formally and informally. Growing up in the 4H program and owning and showing her own and other's horses has taught her many things about horses that a classroom wouldn't be able to teach her. When she graduated high school, she went on to obtain a degree in Animal Sciences. She not only learned about behaviour, welfare, and management, but also about physiology and nutrition to name a few topics. Her dedication to learning paid off when she was admitted to university to study veterinary medicine. Unfortunately, half way through her veterinary degree, she became seriously ill and was forced to withdraw from the program. During her break, she decided it was a great time to build on her extensive health knowledge, and applied to become a fully insured professional therapist. Having such a complete and dynamic education helps Tanja approach issues from various angles and address them using the modality best suited to improving the health of your equine partner.
