We don’t want to leave our senior pets behind…here are some tips to help keep your home senior friendly. 🐾 Non-slick walking surfaces can benefit dogs with arthritis, or mobility problems. If you have carpet-that’s great! If you have hardwood, lay down some rugs so you dog has a non-slick surface to step on. 🐾 Make sure water and food bowls are easily accessible, and kept close to where they rest during the day. 🐾 Ramps help get your dog in and out of the car, but also onto and off the bed or couch. 🐾 Remove obstacle, navigating familiar places can present a challenge for pets with vision or hearing loss. You can make things easier by keeping your home consistent ( avoid rearranging the living room, or moving food and water bowls. Keep living areas clear of clutter, and even consider blocking of hazards like stairs.
