We make a decision to add them to our family, but when the time comes they choose us. Do you agree?

I had a conversation recently with someone about this. They were telling me about their new puppy (a service dog) and how it seemed to choose her.

I told her I 100% believe it. She asked me why? It was hard for me to explain; maybe you have words for it?

I think it's similar to when you meet someone new and you just connect and know they are your people.

I will never forget the day we went to pick our new puppy (Doozer) out of a litter of 12 puppies. We were in a fenced in area with all these puppies and Doozer and I locked eyes. There was something about how he was looking at me that I just felt the immediate connection. I know he felt it too.

He chose us to do life together. And I'm forever grateful to be his person.

Most of the time we are asked about weight loss, but every once in a while someone reaches out asking how to help their pups put on some weight.

Weight management is tricky. What works for some dogs, doesn't work for others. What worked through one period of their lives, will change as they grow and life shifts.

Through all of that, the one thing that remains consistent is ensuring they are getting a balanced diet over time. This includes protein variety and the essential meal toppers like eggs, omega 3, and fruits/vegetables.

Over the years, we have been asked by many when we will have Rabbit or Lamb in our shop. Well folks, the day has finally come!

Four Roots Simple Lamb and Simple Rabbit are produced by Raw Bone Pet Co. in British Columbia for our partner company, Four Roots Pet Products.

Produced in small batches to ensure the highest level of quality and care.

While the price point won't be for every budget, it will fill in a need for those who struggle to find proteins for the pets struggling with food sensitivities / intolerances or need new ways to offer some protein variety for pets who have particular needs.

As per usual, my dogs loved these novel protein chews. So here's why this mom loves kangaroo tail chews:
