Had a little fun with our Christmas Eve deliveries today. 😊 My little one joined me on my route and took the delivery photos while I posed with the yummy treats for your pets!

IT'S HERE! Our calendar is available now!
Thanks to every who participated by entering photos, voting, and sharing in the excitement. It's always the highlight of our year to do this and we love being able to give back to community while seeing all your wonderful pets!
The proceeds of each calendar sold will be donated to . We love their mission of supporting vulnerable people and their pets during times of hardship.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be sharing a bit about the dogs and cats who are featured this year! The first pup we are sharing is CHARLEE - our cover model!
"Charlee came into our lives when we needed her most. She's mischievous and constantly keeps us on our toes, always bringing us "presents" like socks, dish towels, laundry, slippers... You name it. She loves stealing whatever she can get her paws on and then ripping around the house. Her favourite food is whatever we're eating, of course. Charlee is the sweetest, happiest girl. Her playful, loving personality brings us so much joy. We can't imagine life without her."

Everything you need to know about your raw food delivery this month! Our schedule will be adjusted slightly over the holidays - keep reading for more....
We have three in person pick up dates for those who would like to visit our Devon Shop. The next date is this coming Saturday from 9 am - 12 pm!
During the last two weeks of December will continue deliveries, but the delivery schedule will be shortened to two days instead of four.
Here is the schedule:
Tuesday December 23 - ALL Calgary & Area Deliveries
Wednesday December 24 - ALL Edmonton & Area Deliveries
Thursday & Friday December 25 & 26 - CLOSED

We make a decision to add them to our family, but when the time comes they choose us. Do you agree?
I had a conversation recently with someone about this. They were telling me about their new puppy (a service dog) and how it seemed to choose her.
I told her I 100% believe it. She asked me why? It was hard for me to explain; maybe you have words for it?
I think it's similar to when you meet someone new and you just connect and know they are your people.
I will never forget the day we went to pick our new puppy (Doozer) out of a litter of 12 puppies. We were in a fenced in area with all these puppies and Doozer and I locked eyes. There was something about how he was looking at me that I just felt the immediate connection. I know he felt it too.
He chose us to do life together. And I'm forever grateful to be his person.

Most of the time we are asked about weight loss, but every once in a while someone reaches out asking how to help their pups put on some weight.
Weight management is tricky. What works for some dogs, doesn't work for others. What worked through one period of their lives, will change as they grow and life shifts.
Through all of that, the one thing that remains consistent is ensuring they are getting a balanced diet over time. This includes protein variety and the essential meal toppers like eggs, omega 3, and fruits/vegetables.

Raw food - best for your best friend
We sell and distribute Dog’s Choice raw food, made with love and care in central Alberta. We have fed our own purebred German Shepherd this food since she was weaned eight years ago, and she is a happy, healthy pooch with a glorious coat. There are multiple varieties of food available in one or two pound tubes. You can choose from beef, chicken, and meat and veggie mix.
Greg is the Top Dog at Grand Dog Essentials and he loves dogs, especially ours. In fact, some days I think he loves that dog more than me! He will talk about raw dog food to anyone who will listen and has influenced so many of our family and friends to feed raw, we figured we might as well go into the business and make a living at it.
We know there are detractors of the raw food diet for dogs. However, our experience has been very good. We have an extremely healthy dog, free of digestive issues, and free of that awful thing called doggie breath. Watch our feed for future blogs on the raw food diet.
Some people think it will be horribly expensive. Well, if you buy the precious little packages at the store it will be expensive. Our food is reasonably priced and you can feed your medium to large dog for a similar cost to the top grade kibble food. Plus our pooch has gas so seldom that if a fart escapes her, she is so surprised she gets up to investigate.
The food is frozen in tubes similar to the hamburger tubes you find at the grocery store. It is delivered to you frozen and you simply thaw one or two tubes at a time and store the meat in the fridge, portioning out whatever your dog requires for its feeding schedule.
