Allison and Lucy doing a mock masters rally trial at Ace It Canine Academy. It can be quite intimidating to step out of our comfort zone and try a new event but there are so many helpful people willing to help! There are in person classes and also classes that can be done online, the possibilities are endless! It's great mental work for the dogs and fun for the owners too!
Thank you to Allison for sharing a video of Lucy giving brush hunt a try. There are so many fun events, Lucy appears to think this is an interesting one for her.
Aussies are such a versatile breed! Our Novacoast aussies and their people compete in so many different events including conformation, agility, rally, obedience, agility, scent detection, tracking, dock diving, barn hunt, brush hunt, chase ability, sprinter, trick dog and so much more taking top awards in many events! Here is Dexter practicing for dock diving, he is a natural!
Best of breed line up for the Cobequid Dog Club last Saturday. Dexter first in line, owner handled by Allison Mair, Ch Novacoast Danger Zone NTD CGN. Dexter was best of opposite (best male) for 4 more GCh points. Otto was third in line, breeder/owner handled by Collin. Otto was winners male, best of winners and best puppy in breed in the morning and winners dog in the afternoon. He has been shown under 3 judges and now has 8 points towards his championship! He blew his coat right before the show so we thought about pulling him from the show but decided to go anyway even though he didn’t look his best. It was nice to see judges who overlooked his lack of coat and rewarded him regardless. We only entered Saturday. So proud of our Novacoast aussies!
Our Novacoast Aussies never forget us! Half an hour into our visit and Dexter and Lucy are still excited. Thank you Allison Mair for the video.
Emitt was happy to see some snow today.
