Great news! The CDC has dropped their previously announced documentation requirements for dogs entering the U. S. from Canada.
Here are the updated requirements:

1. Your dog must be 6 months old
2. Have an ISO-compatible microchip
3. Appear healthy upon arrival
4. You have to fill out an online CDC Dog Import Form (which can be completed on the day of travel)

That's it! Our team is pleased that the CDC has taken into account the strain on veterinary professionals and pet parents caused by the previous rules and adjusted them for the benefit of everyone involved.

Dogs that have spent the prior six months only in dog rabies-free or low-risk rabies countries will now be able to enter with an import form online submission receipt.

Due to extreme changes in my life, with my wife of 15 years passing away & having to close down our business we loved so dearly, I am unable to provide these two precious little ones with the stability & love they deserve. Circumstances dictate for me to move out of the country & I am looking to find them a new loving home. Om (boy) & Shanti (girl) are from the same litter; Barb & myself have known them for 12 years- since they were in their mother's womb. They have brought a lot of joy to us over the years & they have plenty more to give. They are active & very social indoor cats who love to cuddle & show affection. Over the years, they have successfully converted many "not a cat person" into cat lovers with their affection.

As extremely tough it is to ask for help, I am trying to do what is right and if someone resonates with this message, I will take it as that - a sign from on high, that it is meant to be.

As Easter is approaching, our spring decorations are reminding us of the warmer weather that's on its way, regardless of what the current weather may suggest. Stolen dog!!

The owner called after cops came to check the area and they do have video recordings of someone pushing in her air conditioner and stealing some belongings and her puppy.
Her service dog passed away a few months ago and she just got this sweet pup but we are trying to spread the word as much as possible.

She lives in Centretown, Ottawa, but the footage seems to have seen an unknown truck outside so they are worried they may have gotten farther than in the city.

Lady and Luna are missing. Help them get back home!

They were last seen on Larson Peak road and Bonnieglen in Southfields Caledon situated at major intersection at Mayfield and Kennedy. Yesterday seen at Bonnieglen Farms Park Trail (Luna). Lady was seen at Dennison Park field area by School and at Helderman and Maple Cider road.

Lady is a white with black brown and grey patches half Bengal

Luna is a black charcoal cat Bengal with black spots

They have been missing since Aug 12.

HIRING AN RVT!

North East Newmarket Veterinary Services is looking for an experienced RVT to join our lovely team. We are a unique veterinary clinic that offers an integrative approach to pet health. If you are passionate about holistic veterinary medicine and alternative modalities, this is the place for you! At The Holistic Vet, we believe having a healthy staff allows us to serve our clients to the highest standard. We offer a very calm and low stress environment with no exposure to x-ray, anesthetics or the emotional trauma of end of life care. We offer a large selection of organic herbal teas and various supplements and vitamins for our staff. We also order organic sprouts for the staff every few weeks. We respect our clients and love taking the time to hear their stories. It is very rewarding to see how our patients improve with the proper diet, herbs and supplements, and time and patience. We are a privately owned practice and will never sell to a large corporation. We offer above average pay as well as health benefits and matching RRSP contributions. We also provide uniforms and will pay your college licensing fee.

As an RVT, your role would be to communicate with clients and staff in a compassionate manner and administer treatments during appointments such as vitamin therapy, red light therapy, PEMF therapy, ozone therapy and more. We do offer training in these modalities. You would also be responsible for drawing blood for testing and treatment of patients, and maintaining accurate medical records. We are looking for an RVT with 3+ years of experience working in the field who is open to alternative modalities and has excellent people skills. If you have experience with Avimark software and a rehab background, that would be an asset, but not necessary.

The woman that owns Cash has always been there for rescues day and night - she is a special person that gives her all to the dogs in her care and this is very hard for her as you can imagine.

Someone out there knows something - this dog is loved and has a wonderful home and he is so missed.

If you know anything please contact her so she knows he is safe and lets get him home.

Hi there to all our lovely clients! One of our clients is unfortunately no longer able to care for her dog, Hope. If anyone would be interested in adopting Hope, please see her bio below ❤️❤️

"We are looking to find a new loving home for our dog Hope who is about 65lb and 5.5 years old. She is a rescue pooch, whom we found at the Toronto animal shelter and all we know of her background is that she was a stray. We adopted her when she was a year old and she's been with us for 4.5 years. We have recently had an addition of our newborn son to our family and unfortunately we can no longer take care of her along with an infant.

Hope is in excellent health with no known medical conditions. Based on her DNA test, she's 25% Staffordshire terrier and a mix of various collies, sheep dogs and retriever. She is a very intelligent and energetic girl, loves to chase after a ball, chew sticks and run around outside. Hope loves people and is a very sweet and friendly dog. She seems to be neutral towards children, has not shown any aggression or jealousy towards our baby or other older kids. Unfortunately she was not properly socialized with dogs from a young age and she especially does not get along with small breeds. That being said, she's been showing a lot of improvement with larger breeds. She would be a great fit for a very active family with a fenced large yard, no other pets but who has prior experience owning a dog.

Since rescuing her, we've worked on her prey drive, she no longer barks and chases after squirrels. She's a very intelligent dog, knows many commands and has been leash trained. We were able to work on her anxiety around cars, loud noises and separation. She may still get some anxiety around people leaving the house but has made significant improvements. She gets very excited to go outside every time, so may be a bit anxious when first going for a walk or outdoors but then quickly calms down, especially once she's able to run around and get some of her energy out. It would be ideal to find a home for her where the family can continue working with her and training her. She is a very very sweet dog, great emotional support animal and is able to read and adapt to people's emotions very quickly.

She's been a valued member of our family and we are very sad to have to part with her, but would also want her to find a suitable home. We would like to meet with the potential family that would like to adopt Hope to make sure that it is a good fit.
