Mylestone’s Esme, showed her heart out and moved beautifully for her Baby Puppy Show career and we could not be prouder of her. Across 8 shows Esme was awarded 8 Best Baby Puppy in Breed, 6 - Best Baby Puppy in Group, 1 - Reserve Best Baby Puppy in Show and 1 – Best Baby Puppy in Show! I have had so much fun running around with her in the ring. It's clear that Esme really loves to show.

A huge thanks goes to my friend Ivan Fabina (Fabina Shetland Sheepdogs) for professional grooming, and my mentor, Bonnie Taylor (Bonnyville Kennels), for helping to train with this little girl.

Thank you to the judges, Jean Delisle, Irene Latchford, Pierre Talbot, Kristen Francis, Judith Byrne, William Byrne, Ron Mahon, Anik Primeau and Cheryl Myers- Egerton that appreciate this beautiful baby girl and provided lovely feedback. It was an phenomenal first show for our newest Mylestone potential at the recent Monarch Kennel Club show in Dorchester. Esme (MBBPIG, BBPIS - Mylestone's Esmeralda Princess of Lancre), Sire Teagan (CH Brantstars Timeless Trend; 1st, 12-18 month sable and white ASSA 2024) X Dam Cinder (Mylestone's Phoenix Rising), was awarded multiple Best Baby Puppy in Breed, multiple Best Baby Puppy in Group, and a Best Baby Puppy in Show. Esme really enjoyed her first time in the ring!

A huge thanks goes to my friend, Ivan Fabina, for co-handling this beautiful girl with me. Special thanks to my mentor, Bonnie Taylor from Bonnyville Kennels, for helping to train with this little girl.

2024 ASSA: What an amazing time!

This was the first time I went to this show and it exceeded all of my expectations! It started with a road trip adventure with my good friend Ivan Fabina and our sheltie family. Opening night was filled with meeting up with the rest of our Canadian Sheltie Team and making new friends (everyone there). The next few days were filled with a ton of adventure and laughter. Some of the highlights were: learning seminars and chat room conversations - I did as many as I could and enjoyed them all; judging mentoring sessions, which were a fantastic insight into the judges’ minds; and of course the actual showing where my girls, Mylestone's Queen of Avalon (Guinevere) and Mylestone's Princess Leia, showed their hearts out!

Congratulations to all the winners, including Brantstars Timeless Trend (Teagan) for winning his class. Teagan is the sire of my newest puppy potential Mylestone's Esmeralda, Princess of Lancre (Esme).

There were just so many lovely, beautiful shelties!!! I am extremely happy and grateful to have met so many friendly, kind-hearted shelties lovers who were willing to share their knowledge and love of this incredible breed.

Thank you to all the organizers, judges, and many people that volunteered their time to make this amazing show a success!

Group Photo! We are now seven weeks old and our main goal in life is PLAY. Wake up in the morning, time to PLAY! After breakfast, PLAY. Mid-afternoon siesta is over, guess that means it's PLAY TIME! Don't worry, we make sure we play so hard all day long, that we're ready to sleep by 10pm. (Of course, 6am PLAY is just around the corner...)

There were EIGHT in the bed and the little one said, "Roll over, roll over..."

Week 3 was definitely a busy week! Our eyes and ears are open and it's a whole new world out there. We've started walking to explore, playing with one another, and even started to bark!

Despite her fiery name, Cinder certainly loves the snow and we know these girls can't wait to get a little bit bigger so they can join her.

After the group photos a few days ago, it was time for some individual shots.

And today is all about the boys! This litter's father is GCH Brantstar's Timeless Trend (Teagan) and we can see these male puppies are absolutely planning to take after dad in looks and star power!

It was our one-week birthday and to celebrate we had the usual - lots of milk and snuggles with mom! It's been tough on her with eight of us in the bed, but she's been doing great to make sure we each get special attention and love.

On January 18th, Mylestone's Phoenix Rising (Cinder) decided it was time for us to meet her 8 adorable Sheltie Puppies.

Cinder is such a wonderful, natural mother, and the puppies are quick learners! We already know this will be a special litter. This litter was sired by GCh Brantstars' Timeless Trend (Teagan).

What a year it's been for Mylestone Shelties! We're rounding out 2023 with another champion!

At the recent Dominion Collie & Shetland Sheepdog Association Speciality, Mylestone's Countess Mondego (Mercedes) (GCH GoldenHylite's The Maverick ROMC X CH Bonnyville's Milady Winter - 5 CH siblings) was awarded Winners Bitch, completing her championship. Mercedes joins her mother, sister, and daughter as Mylestone Champions!

Mercedes was handled by Ivan Fabina and Nancy Selinger. Special thanks to Ivan for also grooming, handling and finishing her championship title.

I would be remiss not to thank my mentor, Bonnie Taylor from Bonnyville Kennels, for all her expert counsel, guidance, and friendship.

Some more wonderful news to share - we have another champion! At the recent Grey-Bruce Kennel Club Show, Bonnyville's Milady Winter (Sabine - 5 CH siblings) (CH Bonnyville's High Hopes X Bonnyville's Brooke Shields) was awarded Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best of Opposite, completing her championship. We now have three generations of champions at Mylestone Shelties!

Sabine was handled by Bonnie Taylor, Nancy Selinger, and Ivan Fabina. Special thanks to Ivan for also grooming, handling and finishing her championship title.

I am also so grateful to my mentor, Bonnie Taylor from Bonnyville Kennels, for all her expert counsel, guidance, and friendship.

We are excited to share recent Grey-Bruce Kennel Club Show results for Mylestone’s Countess Mondego (Mercedes) (GCH GoldenHylite's The Maverick ROMC X CH Bonnyville's Milady Winter- 5 CH siblings). It was her second ring appearance ever and she took Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best of Breed over Special, and a Group 4th. She took WB and Best of Breed (BOB). She was also awarded a Group 4th at a previous Elgin County Kennel Show. We are thrilled to announce that on April 21 & 23, 2023, Ch. Mylestone’s Queen of Avalon, aka Guinevere (Ch Bonnyville’s Defender x Mylestone’s Countess Mondego) was awarded her Grand Championship at the Guelph & District Kennel Club, Fergus. She took Best of Breed (BOB) in both shows and finished her Grand Championship at 22 months old. A huge thanks goes to my friend Ivan Fabina, for professionally grooming and expertly co-handling this beautiful girl with me!
