There are only about 8 lines of Maine C**ns in the world that produce shaded and shell patterns. These lines are unrelated up to the 7th generation, but beyond that, they’re all connected. This limited genetic pool makes responsible breeding critical for the breed’s health.

Appreciation post for my amazing fiancé Kyle 💕

From traveling all the way to Detroit to pick up Diamondi to being by my side at every vet appointment, Kyle’s support means the world. He may not be as involved in the daily chores of cattery life, but his love and support behind the scenes mean the world to me. His impact on our cattery is undeniable.

Not only does he help with big decisions for DiamondiC**ns, but he’s been incredible in socializing our kittens, making sure they’re happy and well-adjusted before they go to their forever homes. He’s truly my partner in every sense of the word, and I’m so grateful for everything he does.

From cheering me on as we build DiamondiC**ns to making our recent engagement the most unforgettable moment, Kyle is the perfect partner, both in life and in love for our incredible maine c**n cats.
