Daisy Update!

Say hello to “Can confirm” aka Elliott!

This lovely boy just came into the ATAS on hopes to be adopted out for his second career with an amazing new partner. He will be assessed by the vets in the coming days and we will keep you all updated! This boy will will hopefully be up for adoption shortly!

Our amazing partners at Westana Equine Training & Rehab Center have been caring for and loving on “Daisy” since her knee Surgery. Here is an awesome update on “Daisy” and what she’s been up to.

Daisy has been living inside over night and turned out to a private pen (private pen with no friends only for rehabilitation purposes) during the day. She’s been quiet in the barn (only weaving during turn out and in; otherwise quiet) and is usually great to handle with only a leather halter and lead-rope. She stands well for the farrier, bathing, bug spray, wrapping etc. and she UTD on her vaccines and dewormer.

It is with heavy hearts and immeasurable sadness that we write this post.
Today we said goodbye to our beloved Nutmeg (a.k.a. Caleb Raphael)
Nutmeg came to us in 2016 and he immediately stole everybody’s hearts. He was a mascot, a friend and a companion to so many. He never fussed when we dressed him up in ridiculous costumes, he babysat many weanlings, and he was an integral part of our rehab program. We could put him beside any horse who was struggling with their new life on stall rest and he would always have a calming effect on them and would help them heal. He leaves behind a huge hole in our barn and in the lives of everyone who has known him❤️
