Here at HP we understand how busy life can be, and we all too often see dogs left home or left in crates for hours and hours, because life just gets the best of us sometimes and well let's face it, we all have to work! So instead of worrying about what your dog is doing at home, or if they're bored, missing you, getting the right amount of exercise, getting into the garbage, destroying the couch (

lol) ....etc... Let HappyPawz show you the difference and we'll send your dog home tired, happy and content! They need exercise and challenges. Most of us know that dogs that misbehave are generally not getting enough exercise. This leads to frustration in the dog, which may lead them to bite, bark, destroy furniture, chew stuff etc. Doggy daycare is a complete release of energy. This is great for both their physical and mental health. Even with the most "hyper" dog breeds that visit. Some owners are a bit discouraged and fear their dog will be "too much to handle" or “too wild" etc....
We've taken on some pretty big challenges here at HP and really surprised some people with how happy and tired their dogs are once they go home. This proves that doggy day care not only benefits your dog, but also YOU. At the end of the day, a tired, happy dog is our goal for all the pooches that visit us. Urgent: We are still searching for a home for sweet Amber and Barney. Let's come together and share their post to find this duo the second forever home they deserve.

Meet Amber and Barney! As their senior human is moving into a retirement home, this 12-year old brother and sister duo is looking for a second forever home.

💜 Amber is a laid-back orange girl who is happiest cuddling up to her human and receiving pets. She is shy around children and other animals but can settle in as long as they respect her space. She currently eats a special food to help her lose weight.

☀️ Barney is a playful black-and-brown boy with a white tail who loves to make new friends, whether they are adults, kids or other animals. Like his sister, he loves a good cuddle when he runs out of energy.

Location: Cobourg, Ontario
Availability: Immediately

🏡 Amber and Barney would do best in a home without other cats. They are looking for a home together where they can spend a lot of time relaxing with their humans. While both are indoor cats, they have enjoyed being supervised outside and would love to have access to an enclosed outdoor space.

Jump into an evening of wagging tails and wet paws at the YMCA Northumberland Doggie Dip event!

It’s a “paw”some opportunity for dogs of all sizes to enjoy a swim together! Join fellow dog lovers and bring your furry friends to Centennial pool for a splashing good time from 5 pm to 6:30 pm on Thursday, September 21.

Admission is by donation to the Strong Communities Campaign which addresses the various needs and challenges within our community and strives to make it healthier, more connected, and better equipped to thrive.
