Miss Cali was a little unsure about leaving Mom at home while we went on our walk but with alot of positive reinforcement and some beef treats, this lady is getting more confident every day!

Grooming these two cuties was such a treat today and not just because they are so gosh darn adorable but they are also a blast from my past!

Back before Clips & Cuddles was born, I used to work out of a daycare/grooming facility in Calgary and these two belonged to a co-worker there. Lola and Devlin spent alot of time on my table but as I had moved back to Ottawa, I could only keep up with their well-being over Facebook posts and the occasional chat with their mom.

Seven years later I have them back on my table!
I love this for so many reasons but it really gave me a picture of how much I've changed and grown as a groomer over the years. They were the perfect reminder of how this industry is constantly changing and we as pet professionals need to continue to always grow as well.

Thanks for the laughs and kisses today ladies🥰 Such a pleasure to be grooming you again ❤️

Everyone meet Mia! She just so happens to be our October Pup of the Month!
Mia loves her outdoor time and is becoming more and more reliable with her recall. She's so eager to learn but sometimes her feet move faster than her brain tells her to so we're working on impulse control and concentration.

Thank you for always making me laugh during our training sessions!🥰

You may have noticed that we didn't announce our Pup of the Month for August and that's because we were holding off for a double shout out for September!
Beans has had alot of change in his life over the last few years but especially over the last few months, but like the sweet little lover that he is, he accepted his new sister Gracie like a champ! Thanks for being such a wonderful big brother to your new little sister!

And the second shout out goes to that little sister! Gracie has come so far in her leash manners while getting to explore her new neighbourhood. She is such a pleasure to have added to our pack.

Welcome Gracie and good job as always Bean!!❤️❤️

Miss Quinn enjoyed her home grooming today, especially as it meant no traveling in this crazy heat! A quick potty break in the backyard after her groom and some cuddles before leaving, this little lady is ready for some R&R while the sun bakes the city away.

July's Pup of the Month is one guy I'm especially proud of. Finnegan, has come such an incredibly long way with his anxiety!

On our first walk together, actually the first week of walks, I wasn't able to convince Finnie that it was safe to come out. I was almost out of hope that I would win this man over and very quickly running out of ideas to help encourage him to venture out.
Over time, alot of treats and so much praise, Finnie now enjoys our time together and slathers us in kisses when we arrive!

Clips & Cuddles turns four years old today!!!

I could make a long sappy post about how much we love and adore your animals, which we do, and how much we love and appreciate you as our clients, which we do, but I'll spare everyone that as it's just too hot for sentimental today!

Just know, we truly are thankful to all of you and your support over the years. Your animals complete our lives and Sarah & I are truly happy to be apart of their worlds. Also just a quick shout out to Sarah for the love, sweat and tears she has put into Clips & Cuddles over the last year. The support she's given me has helped us grow into the company we are today❤️

June's Pup of the Month goes to...a kitty!

Smoke has been enjoying her sanitary shaves and nail clipping with us for quite some time now and she never fails to make us laugh with her quirky personality! We absolutely love our visits with this little lady and just couldn't resist granting her the title😊

Henry wanted to show everyone his pretty little flower, but of course you can't have a picture of Henry without his brother Beanie Beans ❤️
Fun fact, Henry and Beans were Clips & Cuddles very first walking clients! These sweet little faces have been with us for almost four years now and have brought a smile to our face every single day we've seen them 🥰

Almost halfway done with June and realized we never had our May Pup of the Month.

Well without a doubt, May goes to Twizzie!!

When we first met Twiz, his anxiety would get the best of him and he would react vocally to anyone who tried to occupy his space. With lots of time, love and praise, this man has completely shown us his silly, happy side and we couldn't be more thrilled! Twizzie is now able to trust his handler and even wants to share his toys!

Awesome job Twizzie! It's been such a pleasure gaining your trust and we are honoured to have it 😊❤️
