Jag was initially seen by the QVC team and referred to Boundary Bay in Surrey for specialty neurologist care. We are very fortunate to have so many excellent referral and specialty centres here in British Columbia!

QVC will be CLOSED on Tuesday, November 11th for Remembrance Day. We are open normal business hours on Monday, November 10th, and resume normal business hours again on Wednesday, November 12th.

As always, if you are a current client with a patient requiring urgent care outside or regular business hours, please call QVC @ (250) 747-2919 to be triaged by an RVT of the Animal HealthLink team.

The QVC family would like to wish Brett a heartfelt farewell, as she is moving on from Quesnel to pursue future adventures 🐴🩷

Brett was at QVC for almost six years and was an absolute asset to us during her time here. She was super keen, a very hard worker, and never said no to anything - even if it was assisting with a fractious feral cat! Scrubbing the windows? Not a problem. Cleaning dog diarrhea out of a kennel? Consider it done. Everything Brett did, she did it with a smile….except maybe she frowned a little cleaning up the dog diarrhea 😜

Brett, we are all going to miss you and your infectious positive energy. You brought a smile to many clients and coworkers alike over the years. We wish you nothing but the best going forward, and hope your journey brings you back to Quesnel one day ❤️🐾

🌟 Did you know??? 🌟

QVC has multiple endoscopes! We are capable of performing gastric + respiratory endoscopy in horses, gastric endoscopy in dogs and some cats as well as respiratory endoscopy in some dogs. Pictured below is a canine gastroscopy procedure. This is a minimally invasive diagnostic method used in an array of different types of cases here at QVC. 🐶🐱🐴

October is ✨RVT month!✨ QVC is super fortunate to have two dedicated RVTs : Alex and Emily!

An RVT is a Registered Veterinary Technologist. RVTs wear many hats in veterinary medicine. They are licensed veterinary professionals that have completed a diploma program and have passed a national exam to receive their RVT designation.

Here at QVC our RVTs are fully utilized to the full scope of their license. Our RVTs take radiographs, perform blood draws, run anesthesia, assist in surgery, dispense medications, perform dentistry (radiographs and cleaning/polishing) and treat hospitalized patients. That’s not even a full list!

Alex graduated from Olds College in 2018 and Emily graduated from Thompson Rivers University in 2023. Between the two of them they have a wealth of experience and knowledge, and are an absolute asset to our team!

Thank you for everything you ladies do!! We couldn’t imagine QVC without you. 🐾🤍🩺
