The Dog kennels are set up with indoor/outdoor runs - indoor cinderblock to provide privacy, and outdoor chain link/gravel runs for interaction. There are also some indoor pens with separate outdoor runs for special circumstances. Our cat room is located in the front building providing a beautiful view for all cats. The kennels are roomy enough for a litter pan, food dishes, and multiple beds or scratching posts. All are situated on one wall as to decrease visual upset. Each pet is treated individually ensuring all their needs can be met. Extra exercise or stimulation needed beyond their personal space is at the kennel's discretion and will be provided to dogs or cats requiring more. We feel it is important to meet each pets' needs. Pets are organized in the kennel according to temperament, breed, size, and sometimes age. Dogs are not allowed to run loose together unless they are from the same home or family. WHAT TO BRING

Vaccination Record: For your first visit, and with each booster we ask that the certificate of vaccination be brought to the kennel. The Kennel REQUIRES all dogs are current with Distemper, Hepatitis, Adenoflu, Parainflueza, Parvo combination and Rabies vaccines are current with your Veterinarian's recommendations. BORDETELLA (kennel cough) vaccine must have been given within the last year though every 6 months would be more beneficial in protecting your pet. This vaccine is not given routinely so please check with your veterinary clinic if you are unsure of your pets' vaccination status. Cat vaccines Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Chlamydia, Leukemia, and Rabies are REQUIRED to be current with your veterinarian recommendations. Vaccines that are over the norm for expiration (1-3 years) require a letter from the Veterinarian explaining and excusing the delay. We understand that new research is continuing with vaccination protocols and are happy to follow your Veterinarians' advice regarding routine vaccinations for your pets. Food: We encourage all owner's to provide their pet's current diet for the duration of stay at the kennel. Diet is the one of most important things to balance at a busy kennel so keeping the ingredients the same decreases one change. A discount is given to those who provide their pet's diet during their stay. Refrigeration is available in the kennel for raw or homemade diets and canned food. We will do our best to keep the same routine you have at home for a feed schedule. We do not recommend extra or new treats that are high in fat and may cause gastric upset. Bedding: The floors of the Dog kennels are cement. We recommend a small or medium kennel for smaller breed dogs and a towel or blanket for larger dogs if needed. Some dogs will destroy their bedding in the kennel or depending on the material/size, the kennel may be unable to wash your pets' bedding. Cat kennels are metal so we also encourage a small kennel, blanket/towel or pet bed. Toys: If you have a toy or two you may also bring that for your pet. We have found that most dogs are too busy at the kennel visiting, but are great for puppies or dogs who require extra stimulation. The kennel does not take responsibility for lost or damaged bedding or toys. Medications: The kennel is able to administer any medications, supplements, or preventative treatments. This includes insulin for diabetic animals. An Animal Health Technologist is on staff and can aid in any difficult treatments.

With mixed emotions I have decided to close Coulee Valley Kennels as of June 21, 2022. I opened the kennel on June 21, 1994 (28 years ago). I have loved having the kennel and have meet many customers and made many friends.
Thank you all for yours business and trusting me with your pets. I have felt very honoured to have been given the opportunity to have had you in my life. The next part of my life will begin with (hopefully) lots of riding my horses, studying Astrology,
raising French Bulldog puppies, and enjoying family, friends and the beautiful farm I live on. Thanks Kristi
