WEBSITE TIPS AND TRICKS
- don't bother creating an account, just check out as a guest. Unless you already have an account you are able to sign into with out issue, it will likely just keep sending you to a page that says it doesn't exist to create your password - super annoying so just skip it
- the delivery menu that displays is the default PEI menu. On check out, once you enter your address details, the delivery menu will change to show options for your province. If you are having difficulties getting the menu for your province to display, select "change address" at the bottom of the menu that you do see (see picture)
- if you are using a computer or tablet, things should dispaly as usual including your shopping cart in the top right hand corner
- if you are using a phone, the cart icon no longer displays. Instead, after you add something to your cart "view cart" will appear in green lettering underneath. Click on this and it will take you to your cart. (see picture). It won't show until you add something to your cart

If you are putting in a late order, please reach out and let us know - we can usually still fill them but need to know they are in the system (we are in pack mode starting tomorrow so i am not checking the site for orders regularily) Also, if you are putting in a NB order after the deadline (but before Sunday's delivery) and don't want it until the NEXT delivery, please indicate in the notes or shoot us a message. We often have around 20+ orders come in after the deadline and it can be time consuming to sort out which ones are late, and the ones that are late on purpose for the next delivery :)

A reminder that as of tomorrow, May 18th, anyone choosing to pay via credit card will have a 2.4% surcharge added to their order.
When placing orders on the website you will see "CASH" and "DIRECT TRANSFER" (etransfer) as the payment options to select from. Etransfer can be sent as always to [email protected] with your order number included in the message section.
We will still accept credit cards on delivery and add the 2.4% surcharge at the time of payment. Anyone preferring to pay with their credit cards at the time of delivery can select "CASH ON DELIVERY" as their payment option on checkout. For those of you with standing orders who are invoiced directly, you will see the "PAY NOW" feature no longer activated unless you indicate you would like to make credit card your primary payment method. We can then have the surcharge included on your invoice with the PAY NOW feature activated.
New customers, or those who frequently cancel or are no shows on delivery day, may be asked to pay in advance of your order being packed and loaded for delivery. Customers who no show or cancel on delivery day after we have already left for deliveries will not be refunded the delivery fee and potentially part of their order for items that can not be bought back to the farm or resold (live rodents, small frozen rodents like pinky and fuzzys that will not remain frozen for the trip back to PEI etc.)
We apologize for any inconvenience, but as a small business, the cost of offering fee based payment options are not a sustainable option

Prices will be the same as listed on their website and delivered to you for our usual delivery fees on the next delivery day to your province (so no charge if you are already putting in a feeder order with us). So essentially exactly the same as when we had it all on hand here.

ONTARIO INVERT FARM (www.ontarioinvertfarm.com) - Please order and pay directly though Ontario Invert Farm and let him know it will be picked up by Rachel from East Coast Exotics. Deadline for these orders will be Monday March 15th at 9 am. Please ensure whatever you are ordering is legal in your province!! Your order will be delivered to you on our next delivery day to your province for our usual delivery fees (so no charge if you are already putting in a feeder order with us). We will be adding an additional handling fee of $10 (for your entire order, not per item) for a portion of the costs of the transportation from Ontario as well as caring for them until they are delivered to you.
REPTILE STORE (www.reptilestore.ca) - ❗AVAILABLE TO NOVA SCOTIA CUSTOMERS ONLY❗ Please order and pay directly on thier website. You can choose the option of "EAST COAST EXOTICS - Pre Authorized" as the shipping option and in the notes section comment that RACHEL FROM EAST COAST EXOTICS WILL BE PICKING UP ON FRIDAY MARCH 15th. Order Deadline for any reptiles will be Wednesday March 13th at 5pm. Their selection is not as large as usual right now, but they do have a good selection of captive bred Pacman Frogs, Whites Tree Frogs and Tarantulas which we have been getting alot of inquiries about lately. While i didn't get all the product listed this week that we still have on hand, i got a good start on it - you can find the items new to the website under the shop tab - head to reptile products and select "recently added for anything new on the site.

The program that operates our website storefront updated yesterday, and the little shopping cart on the top seems to have disappeared! All seems to be good on desktop/laptop, but if you are using your mobile phone you will have to do an extra step in order to access the cart and check out.
After you add the last item to your cart and click the add to cart button, you will need to select "view cart" (see attached screen shot) in order to get ito the cart. If you have already navigated away from the page where you added your last item, you will need to add another random item, click the view cart option and then remove that item before continuing on with the check out process.
We appologize for the inconvenience, but until Woo-Commerce send out a fix to update it, this will likely be the case for a week or two.

On Monday Feb. 21st, I will be going through the remainder of all our product stock (we have found a few more items now that we are consolidating rooms here at the farm!) and putting it up on the website. Pangea is pretty much sold out, but we still have a relatively good selection or Arcadia and Repashy supplements, Repashy foods, lighting and fixtures, substrates, mosses, leaf litter, pods, husbandry tools (snake hooks, hemostats, tongs), digital temperature and humidity gauges, thermostats, woods and branches (mopani wood, grapewood, dragon wood, twisty vines, ghost wood), dishes, caves/hides, ledges, backgrounds,and probably a few other things i'm not thinking about.
Website should be updated with these items by Tuesday night at the latest! If not, please harass me!
As we finish clearing things out we will also have multiple used items up for grabs such as enclosures, fixtures, hides, previously used cork/branches, deco, etc. These itmes will likely take me a few extra weeks to inventory and figure out how to get up on the site or post here for anyone interested.
